This is some seriously messed up thinking. You actually hate another team more than you love your own. I get the whole "hate Bama" thing. Because Bama is a threat. You used to "hate Auburn". I get it. Teams hate the team that beats them. But you are waaaay over the top with your thinking.

This is why people hate your team. It's the entitlement mentality. We deserve that win because we're Alabama. No matter who the opponent is.
There's no one that can you beat you and in reality, it's wrong, of course. Like I said, not a knock on you personally but that's what drives LSU fans crazy. Some Bama fans agree however most, at least that come on the rant here, do not. They come here simply to stir up stuff. (Not saying you're doing that).

I don't think stating that "we are a threat" is over the top. You are reading way to much into that. I'm simply stating people hate the team that is a threat to their own success. Everyone hated Spurrier when he dominated with Florida. It's natural. I frankly don't care if you hate Bama. I know you are anxious about playing us each year. We are anxious about playing you, too. In recent years we have been each others Nemesis. So, by all means, hate away. But when you hate another team so much that you would sacrifice your own teams success, you have real issues. That is what I was trying to say.

It isn't over the top. I'm not reading anything into it. What I am getting at is that most, not all, but most Bama fans on here, think that Bama is untouchable. No one can beat them which simply isn't the case.
Is Alabama a damn good team? Absolutely.
Is LSU? Absolutely. That's what I meant about LSU being a threat. It goes both ways.
That's the short version of what I was getting at.

Unless we can get back in which isn't likely, everyone should pull for bama or Fla to get in....if lsu cant get in it, at least it is a good thing that either team had to go thru lsu to get there....personally I hope bama wins out...next yr lsu will hand them their first loss at their house in two yrs...ha....

There are only 3 SEC teams with a mathematical shot at playing in Miami - and for two of them (LSU and UGA), it would take a 2007-like collapse of everyone in front of us for that to happen.

AMEN. I hope LSU wins out and gets a BCS bowl. As far as anything having to do with Bama, they are the only SEC team that I can not, will not ever pull for to win. I hate the sight of their fricking uniform, the sound of some **** from bama saying roll tide, and the thought of them winning any football game. Every bowl season, I hope the SEC goes whatever and 1 with Bama being the sole loss. I hate that fricking school and team.

You are right. I can't tell you that I wasn't nervous. I'm nervous every time we play LSU. Becuase LSU is a very good team. I especially get nervous playing at death valley in a night game. If you think Bama doesn't respect LSU you are mistaken. I'm sure some Homers have come on your board and smack talked. Guess what, LSU fans do the exact same thing. That has nothing to do with the general fan base. The entire country knows LSU is a national contender pretty much every year. Each year LSU preps for the big game with Bama. Bama preps for the big game with LSU. You are incorrect if you think Bama feels untouchable. That would be ridiculous. Have you looked at the point spread over the last several games? Anyway, I'm to old to "hate" at ball team. I'll just respect a good football team and leave it at that.
