You sound like the forbidden love child of Yoda and Les Miles
Yeah. I just always thought of him as someone that knew X's and O's, but no personality to interact with fans. And with that story of telling a recruit to make an appointment.....

It just wouldn't have surprised me if he would have felt too busy to do the show

Link to Radio Show

Does the weekly radio show still go on? Wouldn't surprise me if BK douche bag would have stopped doing it, and honestly I wouldn't know because I wouldn't have wanted to listen to him anyways.

If it's still done, is there a link? On LSU sports, the archive stops in 2024.

I have no idea what the right answer really is.

Just went back and checked. Miles got win #40 in his 48th game. We lost his 49th game, the 27-21 OT loss to Bama at home when Lee threw 2 pick 6's. When we started OT, announer cam on with the "The sun has now found it's home in the western sky and it is Saturday Night in Death Valley". Place went nuts just as loud as I've ever heard it, only to have Lee throw another pick to end the game.

But F all that past crap, because we are Champs Again!!!!!! :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

If LSU wins 2011, Les is probably still our coach right now.

As much as I liked Les, if this were still the case, we would still be at 3 NCs. As much as the anger from that year got to me, and still kind of do when I thought about it, last night erased it all for me. I love where we are and where it looks like we are headed much better than where I believe we would be with Les still running the ship

There used to be a plaque at Mike's complex about Mike Chambers.

There still is. It's not on the outside wall anymore, but it's in the mulch in one of the windows that faces the stadium
If you are counting bowl games, you need Rohan's 444 from the '02 Sugar Bowl in the top 10 for passing yds in a single game.

Also, need to highlight Burrow's 2018 season passing yards in bold to keep with the formatting. Not trying to be that guy with this comment, but it took me much longer than I would like to admit to realize you had him on there twice :banghead:

When LSU played Auburn they all picked Miss State to win.

Well Moo State played U La La that day, so I would assume that technically he's correct

Student Union

I haven't been in the union since the renovation was complete. Wife and I are taking our daughter to her first game tomrrow. Do they still have bowling and arcades and stuff in the union now that it has been re done? Our daughter is 3, so there is only so much we can do on campus, normal crew for tailgating isn't showing up.

Does that concern you?

Do we have any more in the bag?

No concern at all. Trick plays not only used for a spark if you will, but are also used when you see something that can be exploited. Florida had a highly ranked rush defense. Everyone is running to 7 when he gets the ball because I'm starting to get convinced that not even Chuck Norris could stop him, so that we knew would work. Same thing with special teams fakes. You know they will only work if there is a flaw in the other teams coverage or plan of attack. You don't just use them because you have to, you use them when you know they will work too.

Whats best for his fans is to decide early and give them a better opportunity to come to BR and let those others focus on recovery.

Why is BR in their best interest? There are more than a couple of cities closer to Columbia than BR. Your bias is showing.

What he's saying is if the game will be in BR, make the announcement soon so fans attending the game can make arrangements to come to BR not at the last minute.
I put this on ticket exchange, but I'm hoping to get a quicker answer here. Does anyone have their seating assignments for the Bama game? I am wanting to buy two tix for my wife and I, and I would rather be sitting a little farther away with our fans, than closer in a sea of gumps.

Gold Game

Posted by ellis mike the tiger on 9/8/15 at 9:04 am
Which game is it this year? The schedule on lsusports.net normally says which game, and doesn't. Are they not saying there is a gold game this year?

if they want to continue to provide TOPS

This is the type of question/opinion I originally was meaning to ask for in my first post. With the state budget the way it is, what is the likelihood this program eventually gets cut? Someone said healthcare is booming in BR right now, but didn't they just close the mid-city ER for BR General? What do you who live there see happening with these types of things? Am I wrong, but will the only ER around BR be OLOL and BR general on around Bluebonnet? Are these the closest options to Prairieville? Zachary? I don't think there is one West over the bridge either unless I'm mistaken.

Does it have to Baton Rouge?

95% of our friends live here. Family is an hour away as opposed to 4. I like Mandeville. Wife has some family there. I just prefer BR.

Can you do anything else besides O&G,

I got into it because I worked offshore during college. I do design work for new offshore facilities, so it was a natural transition. I'm certainly not opposed to other facets of engineering, and assuming I passed the PE last month, I would have more options.

But shouldn't you put YOUR (immediate) family above others? It almost seems selfish to sacrifice YOUR (immediate) family for the company of other friends and relatives. Besides, Houston is only a 4 hour straight shot from Baton Rouge.

The benefit of moving back to be closer to family, close friends etc., is not for their benefit but that of my kids, wife, and myself. My daughter begs to go to her grandparents houses in "swana" cause it's her favorite place and cries when it's time to leave. The draw for that is her and my son getting to have grandparents and aunt's and uncle's come to more events like games, recitals, etc. and getting to hang out more with the kids of our friends who we know share our parenting style, generally speaking. None of that matters much though if you don't have a job, which H-town offers more options and stability.

It's just the first leg of a planned city-wide network of walking trails that will connect nearly every BREC property from Santa Maria to the LSU Lakes to downtown to independence park to the Zoo. It's a pretty ambitious plan and the downtown greenway is just the very first part.

Read this and started looking for info, but can't find any. Links? Regardless of moving back or not, that would be a nice thing to add to BR.

You are slave to your job with long commutes to work.

While I have no problem putting in the hours, even some extra ones to help me advance, adding a bitch of a commute gets to me sometimes. Some people have pointed out well move closer to your job, but my company has a few different locations. Main ones are downtown and in the energy corridor. Right now I'm downtown, but when I have to commute to EC closer to Katy, my drive time going home is anywhere from an hour and a half to 2+ hours, not counting the hour in the morning.

Not really, I have just considered some of the points already. Going back and forth on property taxes and state income taxes is kind of moot, unless there are numbers to go along with it. I know people in each state who say they won't leave either because they "can't deal with paying that high of property taxes" or "don't want to have to pay state income taxes." My point was simply I know the dollar amounts are comparable. And traffic is a pain in the arse both places.
