It would be a blowout
if we get to play Texas and blow them out, that would be almost as good as playing in the Sugar Bowl.

By the way, I don't think we would blow them out.

Lost early in the season. Second loss was to #1 undefeated team in a close game. We jump them.

As long as LSU wins the bowl game this year, I'm happy wherever it is. I can't stand ending the year on a loss. That shite's for the birds.

sugar is not going to take florida -period - they do not travel well, unless playing for a nc. sugar is bama, georgia or lsu & even south carolina , before florida. latech would sell all their tickets, but not florida!

I agree. I think it would be a good game. Texas would be pumped to play LSU, that's for sure.

I would like to see a rose bowl too. There is a lot of exposure with the rose bowl.

Texas D is ranked 92nd nationally and they are last in the Big 12 in rushing yards allowed with 206 yards per game. LSU would run them out of the stadium.

Not saying I disagree, but why does everyone keep saying we drop behind florida if they lose to UF. We will each have 2 losses and and they beat us (and loss to good teams). Is it just because by the flawed way polls work, if you lose you have to drop?

Look at who they loss to. If Bama wins out, we loss that at home. Lost to UF on the road. Uf lost to UGa on a neutral site and FSU on the road. I don't think that game will be even close, so I would say LSU has the better resume. That's just me.

SUGAR!

I was watching the BCS Countdown show and they had Oklahoma in the rose bowl against Nebraska. Usually it is a Pac 12 Big 10 matchup. If bama plays oregon for the title, don't know who gets first pick and second. My thinking is it will be the Sugar and then the rose. If that is the case, then I see the Sugar taking ND, even at 1 loss and then the Rose taking LSU, since they would be the highest team with a loss(es). Kansas State would be up there too, but don't think they would travel as well as LSU, even to Cali. Yes, I have my P&G glasses on.

I think the Cotton Bowl will be A&M vs Texas and we will either be in the Sugar or Capital One Bowl.

Primetime game against a dangerous but inconsistent Texas team? Will get lots of pub too. Love it.

I don't want to play in that stadium four times in a calendar year.

So u don't want LSU to play in by far bad assest venue in all of sports? Obviously everyone would rather the Sugar which is still within reach, but would you rather the capital one or outback over the cotton? If so, you're an idiot. And how the hell did You come up with 4 times in a year? My count says 2.

Eta: the Rose would be awesome and I suppose is feasible if Oregon makes the Bcs championship.

Slowing down LSU's run game enough to pull out a win would save Manny Diaz's job. LSU, on the other hand, has no reason to get up for Texas.

Like the Cotton Bowl in 2010?

Really?

We have young guys who would never forget playing in the Cotton Bowl. Jeremy Hill's cleats will get stuck in Texas jerseys all night.

It's been 10 years since Nick Saban and LSU lost to Texas in the cotton bowl so at least it would give you spoiled LSU fans something to compare Les to if he were to beat the Longhorns...

the Cotton would be intrigued with a possible aTm/Texas matchup.

If this is a possibility, I look for the Cotton Bowl to try very hard to make it happen. I don't understand why a 10-2 OU would get an at-large BCS bid over us, provided that we win out, unless the Sugar Bowl is concerned that LSU fans won't spend enough money in NOLA.

I wouldn't mind that. Had a blast whipping aTm in the Cotton Bowl a few years ago. One of the highlights was when a few aTm fans asked what we were doing while the band was playing Neck. A redneck look of bewilderment came across their faces

I was in the aTm side and those fans thought I was crazy. They'd never seen anything like us before. I had a blast in Dallas and would gladly do it again.
