I enjoyed the game, and I was ecstatic with LSU coming back from 11 points down. However, if you want to look at Miles to say if he determined the outcome, you have to look at the calls he would have made that no one else would have the authority to make. I originally said after the game the Miles went 0 - 5 on coaches calls, but I can't remember what the fifth one was now. Anyhow, I'll give you the 4 calls I remember.
1 The fake field goal on 4 and 12, when everyone could see that Alabama was playing a "field goal safe defense;"
2 The failed 54 yard field goal attempt, when your kickers best is from 44 yards;
3 The failed onside kick attempt, which was poor execution because he didn't kick the ball 10 yards;
4 The failed 4th and 1 in which they shouldn't have been so predictable.
I understand being aggressive, but there is such a thing as over aggression, and it did impact the game. We only scored 17 points, how can you expect win. The defense played as good a game as one could expect. Afterall, bama only scored 21, which is the same amount they scored on 1/9.

This is a totally new and refreshing topic that no one else has mentioned on here.

LOL
Get used to it as it ain't going to change, forget it, we win the next three and go to a great bowl, we have a young team, and will end with a top five recruiting class.
The present and future is outstanding

Coaches don't rely on luck. They rely on practice and execution, who ever the "f" you are. You all act like a bunch of little girls and don't want you opinions challenged.

1. Bama didn't score
2. They did score in under two minutes
3. Bama didn't score, fumbled and we scored

How the frick do you know what calls Miles makes and what calls other coaches make? Oh yea, Miles only makes the bad ones, I forgot. How do you know that he didn't override a Stud call for the Mett touchdown to Landry. Oh that's right, you don't. By all means, criticize the poor calls, but don't neglect to give the main credit for where it is due.

For all of his aggressive calling, non aggressive D at the end of the first half and end of the game lost it. Its time to move on!

The onside kick was a GREAT call, that just barely failed on a bad bounce.
Alabama was totally unprepared.
Sometimes evern good calls fail.

It's posts like this that make coming here so damn much fun. 1/2 of you instant experts want Miles to be more aggressive and take chances and the other 1/2 want him to play it safe.
LSU are the biggest cry-baby fans in the world.

I must have made some good points, because I've seriously been attacked. Talk football and give me some facts, not just speculation.

Just want to know what your facts are on your "speculation" that the only calls Miles made on his own were wrong? Unless you are a member of the staff, you have no way of knowing. That's speculation.

I like this response; however, wasting field position is a coaching sin. We beat them last year because we kept them pinned in their end of the field. I've always thought the you should use you aggression to break down the opposing teams defense and not for trick plays. Also, I had already figured out the LSU was going to onside kick and I didn't think it would help.

We dominated the #1 team in the country. There were some calls that the coaching staff,fans, and players would love to have over. There were also some calls(probably over 90%) that were successful. All of this has been discussed at nauseum. Time to move on.

Wahootiger, are you a member of the staff?

How ironic.
I guess in your opinion it would have been okay for Miles to be aggressive as long as the aggressive calls were successful or would you still be bitching that he was too aggressive?
