I agree, kind of. But, you can't just abandon the pass game because a QB fricks up. All QBs frick up except McCarron apparently.

True, I shouldn't have left him out. He doesn't have the potential Landry/Beckham have though. He doesn't run as good of routes. Still great to have him.

Great post, some of our fans act like big vaginas. I was the only person at my job who thought LSU had a chance to win on Saturday.

but we came out and dominated Bama to the tune of 430 yards of offense when people thought we wouldn't even score or cross midfield, yet Miles still sucks.

His game decisions sometimes defy logic yet success on the field depite due to sheer talent and desire our skill players. Anyone says he is not good coach is drug deal but also anyone say he is great coach is drug fueled. Somewhere in between and will get us 9, 10 11 W year in year out but will not win the big one again with the still present lack of focus/discipline at critical times!

If you still feel this after watching the game Saturday, then you're fricking clueless. We outplayed them in EVERY facet of the game. Coaching cost us this game.

Saban now has the inside track to 3 NC's in four years. This is dynasty domination, regardless of how we beat them last year and how close we came this year.

So the frick waht. People act like we can't match up with them. They have a ridiculously easy schedule year in, year out and they got an unprecedented rematch when they didn't deserve one.

People forget we beat them last year and actually won the SEC....not Nick Saban who's last SEC title was 2009.

I think watercooler and message board perception are one thing.

However, anyone who was at the game Saturday night, cannot say our fans on the whole "acted like big vaginas" or seemed "scared" of Bama, regardless of what a person or two may have mumbling about going into the game.

Fans were just being realistic given the situation.

Any fan who actually knows football and just doesn't check scores knew that we had the talent to go toe to toe with them.

it's just being a flat out pussy saying that "I hope we can just keep it close"

it's not blind optimism, as I gave us a 50/50 chance to win/lose.

It's absolute stupidity to think that a team as talented as ours and a team playing in Death Valley on a Saturday night had any less of a chance at victory than 50%.

You sir, are a pussy.

Pussy.

People ignored the fact that we have the talent to match up and that BAma hasn't played anybody all that great.

Never seen such a pussified and scared fan base. Obviously the coaches felt the same way with the tricks/fakes/prevent Ds they tried and it cost us.

He can win the big one, especially with playoffs coming forward. We'll be fine.

let's put it this way. This team in the playoffs would be fricking scary.

Entire office felt that we just need to keep it close and don't get blown out.

All of my friends were just praying we didn't get blown out.

the 3 people sitting behind me, the 4 in front of me, and the 2 gentlemen to the side of me all thought that we didn't really have a shot to win, but just needed to keep it close.

That's a pussy and defeatist attitude.

"let's put it this way. This team in the playoffs would be fricking scary."

I was musing over this on the drive home. With a little help, a 2-loss team with a good resume could easily land in the top 4 a number of years. Sort of like our 2006 team. No one would have wanted to play that team in a playoff.

Acting like Auburn would be getting offended by the rammer jammer and crying about how bama cheated to win or how we beat ourselves. Or losing 5 in a row.

We're even in the series since Saban started (outside of 1/9) or 4-3, which is still a solid rivalry.

Also, I gave bama credit for making the plays they needed to make, while still criticizing our coaches for making it easier on yall. congrats on the win in Tiger Stadium, but I am just appalled at how many pussies just wanted to keep it close.

Disagree 100%. Coaching didnt cost us the game.
More importantly, if you cant look at the vegas spreads and the way LSU has played and the way Bama has played this year, and determine that bama is the better team, then you are a hopelessly blind homer.

Never said we cant match up with them. Did not forgot we beat them last year, if fact you quoted my reference to it! Who are u trying to convince, me or urself?

ETA, and determine lsu is the better team, then blind homer

Then what did? They scored two TDs because we dropped back into prevent D. We turned it over on 4th and 1 because we called an obvious wild cat. WE gave them great field position with a stupid onside kick call. We cost ourselves a shot at 3 pts by trying a fake that had no chance to work.

f you cant look at the vegas spreads and the way LSU has played and the way Bama has played this year,

Yeah, yeah, I know what the spreads were and I know we haven't played up to our potential. But, if you went going into this game thinking we just could hope to keep it close and couldn't win, then you're an idiot who doesn't understand football.
And the great thing about football, is that it isn't always a linear progression. some players get better as time passes, and some regress. Also, what happened previously bears nothing on the game about to take place.

well, i guess we could always get Chizik or a Derek Dooley type.

Name one coach available to us that you would take over Miles.

does he frick up and make poor decisions? yes.
But he recruits the elite talent, keeps us consistently great/good, wins championships (07,11), and is a great representative for our university. Not much more you can ask.

People have fricking Charlie Mac syndrome. Charlie was a great coach and couldn't beat bear. But, nobody else was beating Bear Bryant either people.

I'm not saying that's the case with Miles/Saban, because Miles has been pretty even with him. As a matter of fact, if they didn't go full retard and give Bama a mulligan last year, we would've been going for our 3rd win in a row over the vaunted Nick Saban.

I've never seen anyone argue that LSU doesn't have the talent to go toe to toe...maybe a few have said that talent is lessening. But most posts I've read have reasonably said that LSU has plenty of talent (even saying many times that talent has bailed out poor coaching over the years).

Coaching cost us this game.
This is what virtually every person that didn't think we would win believed would happen....and it did...by your own admission.
Whether coaching cost us the game & LSU got blown out or coaching costs us the game and LSU lost a close one in the closing minutes.....coaching still cost us the game. That's not a bash as much as a statement of fact. Take it as you will.

You're a douche cheerleader with terrible reading comprehension and a tendency to make assumptions on your audience's thoughts which leads to a terrible debate.
