Im guessing you are asking because of STM, if STM is anywhere close to what they were the last two years, they should beat ST.Aug.
STM would have a decided discipline advantage.

discipline sure does help when you can't catch Fournette

Did you see what Rummel did to Aug? Crutchfield isn't a good coach. If the talent is even close to equal, he tips the scales in the other direction.

You know what Rummel along with HC & EJ did?
They all exposed just how much more work was needed teaching these kids how to play ball... Fournette is the only kid with game... Everyone else just had potential, hardheads, & soft arses... Exactly how it's been over the past decade... If we can keep a coach longer than 3 seasons, we wouldn't have these convos every friggin yr... You know, the same amount of time on the job Roth, Keiser, etc.. needed before their consistent breakthrough...

EF might be the most talented team in 3A, so I really wouldn't call that a upset

If STM and St Aug both win the second round game would be at STM
so the stage would be set for St Aug to come here and get revenge for 2010

That's correct... I'm certain ASH & Easton will not showup just to lose... Those underdogs could be dangerous if they are overlooked...

Looks like OCS is becoming the new Evangel of 1A football in LA.
Only difference is OCS doesn't recruit but they have had a good run the last 3 years.

ChalmetteOwl, thanks for the schedule. I may have to walk around the block to catch the end of EJ v. 35. That could be something to see.
St.Aug95, how long was Biagas there?

So beating barbe is not a quality win? You admit beating Teurlings was a quality win but then diminish it. STM has demolished everyone else in the district, they only play who is in front of them
STM isn't playing Karr from last year, they aren't playing st aug from two years ago, they are playing warren Easton
Good luck to your Teurlings rebels Friday
Supah- actually I'm a graduate of STM. Could care less about Teurlings. Actually glad STM beat them at their place. And you are correct. STM isnt playing Karr from last year. And Karr isnt playing STM's team from last year. This year Karr is better. I'm completely aware that STM plays Warren Easton on Friday. No doubt in my mind STM will win. I start questioning when it comes to St. Aug and really question Karr. Me and you both know that STM chokes every year. This year will be no different. Every player on that team needs to be humble throughtout these playoffs. And of course STM has demolished everyone else in the district. Look at who they played.... TCH was only quality win. Barbe just got lucky

Wow for an STM alumnus you have a lot of anger in your heart for your alma mater
With fans like you who needs enemas?

Biagas resigned after the '01 season... We also lost Burton Burns a few yrs before... Losing both of those coaches, plus all the other bs that put us in the hole, brought new life to our rival schools...

That TE is really good. How is Eugene's bro? He's only a soph as well.
Malik Eugene,i think, is coming along great on defense. Him and Edward Cormier(d'edwards brother) will make up one hell of an offensive backfield next year as juniors. D'Edward Cormier is about as good of an option quarterback as you can find. They are a young team, which means they make a lot of mistakes. That tight end should, by all accounts, be a major college recruit in a couple of years. At one time this year they had 6 sophomores on defense because of injuries. If they do decent this year than it is just lagniappe. If they make it past round 1 then they will most likely lose to WM, too much inexperience to beat a great team like that. Just to have that big time game atmosphere will help those younger guys see what it will be like in the big games that are sure to come the next couple of years.

About 60 of those yards were on a phantom pass. The ball bounced off the turf to the TEs outstretched hand and he was given credit for a reception. Strangest thing I've seen in HS game.
New Iberia had some kid though that was freaky fast, might have been a Jr or Soph, but his burst was just incredible.
Lol I saw that! Well I said kudos for the TE to even make it close to looking like a completion. He's going to be a good one I hear.
And that wr schooled those young db's that night. He looked extremely fast and tough to tackle. If he is just a sophomore or junior than he will be someone to watch out for the next couple of years.

2001?
Wow, I'm out of the loop, badly. Who was the coach at A.P. Tureaud the last two years, then? I'm a Brother Martin Crusader dad. Goes to show what I know.

No anger just disappointment, and i played for coach hightower.... Just expecting this year to be like every other year. NO way STM gets past Karr.

I really wasn't referring to Easton. I was referring to St. Aug. we bring the house and if your receivers cant beat man press it's gonna be a long game. Throwing to Jermaine Roberts side might literally be a waste of your time. I believe he has 10 picks this year. Better try #3. We literally play cover zero.

Between that time and currently, we are on our 4th HC in 10yrs... David Johnson was the last before Crutch came aboard..
