I think the longest I've waited to get down after a bow kill is 15 minutes. I ususally walk back to the camp to grab a xanax and six miller lite to calm down before I retrieve.
Hadnt had a kill with a bow so i couldn tell ya.. But 2 weeks ago i did have an 8pt at 18 yds and he wouldn give me the shot, i almost got down before the shot due to legs shaking uncontrolably, almost shook me right out of the stand!

I swear after my shot earlier this season I was shaking so bad I think without the harness I would have fallen out of the tree.

My first shot at a deer with my bow (a miss) I was shaking so bad afterward, I grabbed two limbs and shook leaves off that tree for a solid 5 minutes

That's pretty cool. Maybe the other guy was filming?

Nothing beats the "thud" sound of that stick poking their chest cavity.
Kind of a spiritual moment.

Looks like he's shooting a recurve. The two-blade, fixed point also supports that theory.

That is crazy
I would love to know what kind of camera that is because the shutter speed must be damn fast. My guess is those guys are just hunting different sides of the tree. I have done that in a box before. You take anything that comes on this side and i will take anything on that side. Makes for a fun hunt.

Shot looks fine to me, deer was quartering awaya and send it mid way at an angle, arrow goes through lungs and heart.. That will finish her off

Pretty damn cool. I admit that I have a game camera set up for this reason alone. Hope to get a pic like this one day

I agree with unconvientional shot placement.
Entry would be behind the ribs and high based on exit. The arrow may have actually missed liver and only caught the offside lung. That arrow is way to high to have hit heart.

The question was posed on the Fark Board if it could be a photoshop?
What do you all think about this idea?
---
Any chance that arrow is a few week old wound that is healing?
I don't know how it wouldn't get caught on something and pull out of the deer during the few weeks time, but that wound looks healed and the arrow look like it has old blood stains on it.
And for the angle, I think it's bouncing around freely as the deer runs. Probably hangs downward when she's idle.

If so, why is she running?
