I just watched the Oregon State game from 2004, because everyone has been mad about Mett's production, so i wanted to watch another bad qb at work in Randall. Jamarcus Russell came in as a freshman and gave the tiger's their spark to victory. Maybe Rivers can come in a give that same spark at some point.

Ummmm. No.

Two different coaches. Two different philosophies.

I honestly think that Mett's difficulties have been blown out of proportion. There is no question that he finally got some open looks with his receivers the other day. On almost all of his misses, they were just simply overthrown. That is a good thing because that is simply a mechanics issue.

I think he was spreading his feet too far when he set to throw, causing the ball to sail on him. Other than that, to this point, he hasn't had time to develop with a banged up line that was trying to figure things out. Now, our line is much improved, our receivers are beginning to get some separation, so Mett just needs to hit his targets.

Do not try to play this off. It will only make it worse. Just take your medicine.
