Anyone know of any availible blinds for lease. Looking from something 2-2.5 hrs from Baton Rouge. Would need to be some type of flooded field. Have duck hunted my whole life but stooped when my wife and I had our first son 7 years ago. Sold boat, decoys, mojo. Literally everything except my guns. I know it would be cheaper to just book some guided hunts but I want to be able to go when I want and don't want any added pressure on him. Really want to spend some good quality time with him and start teaching him about the outdoors. Any help would be appreciated!!

6K I THINK they only have about 5 left

There is a good reason why those five are left though.

Yeah 6k is a little steep for just me and my son hunting. Was thinking in the 3k range.

not without a boat ride..... not even close...even if you are family...

A friend of mine that was leasing spots out for 1k 10 years ago is now getting 5k.. and his blinds are actually producing LESS than they were ten years ago...

Yes--duck hunting a convenient blind has gotten ridiculous.

Bought a boat and surface drive for 7k.... More work and challenging but imo more rewarding.

I moved from LA 2 years ago and never bought into a blind, so I'm ignorant on this. If you buy into a blind is that the only blind you can hunt from?

What is a reasonable and safe distance for blinds to be spaced apart?

If there all on one lake normally about 400 yards minimum. The rangefinder from our blind has the next closest pegged at 540 and 600 after that. It depends on how much water surface you're working with though

There's a management area in north Alabama that has perm blind spots that are 150 yards apart.

And yet they wonder why they don't kill a lot of ducks.

Find Yellowfin on here and ask him. His in-laws have a place around Ville Platte that lease duck blinds. They should still have some rice field blinds open to lease. Usually in the 2K range and only ~ 1 1/2 hrs. from BR.

Yep...you lease the blind and thats all you get. usually around 40-80 acres per.... If no ducks, you get to hunt public land or pay high dolla for a good nap
