We now see why Hill was better than Hilliard coming out of high school. On that TD run, watch the camera angle from the back side of the play and notice the vision to find the open lanes and run into space. The breakaway speed and the ability to catch out of the backfield gave him the edge as well over Hilliard.

Both are great backs and we're lucky to have them over the next couple of years at least.

I think Hill impressed the whole country last night!

Th two are apples and oranges when it comes to running styles. Hill brings the quickness we're missing from Blue and the power of Ware.

Hill could possibly be better than blue. That's a maybe though. Unfortunately I don't think we've seen just what blue is truly capable of yet.

Hilliard really disappointed me by not getting in the end zone on that one play. I think both are great backs for sure

I know. You're 235+ and couldn't run through that db. He has to work on his leg strength.

Hill was a beast. It looked like he was running angry kind of like ware but with moves.

I know he scored twice and ran hard all night but what impressed me the most was when he chased down the db and prevented the TD.

Tell you what. I'll give credit where credit is due. My dad is one of the most knowledgable CFB people I know. Lives, eats, and breathes this stuff for some 70 years and he pegged this from the day he saw this guy and has been preaching that he needs to be the guy since then, to the point of saying "okay, I know, I know." But turns out the old man was dead on.

I can't link the YouTube video of the TD run from my phone but its on there. Watch his speed, agility, and vision all in one play.

I'm sorry but I don't think Hilliard is anything special. Hill on the other hand, was a beast last night. Made great cuts, bounced off some defenders, and had good speed.

Noticed that myself. He's got some skills. That might be one of the best looking runs I've seen an LSU back run in some time.

IMO, there's nothing wrong with Hilliard's leg strength. To me it looks like he's thinking more about maintaining ball security. He not as aggressive as he was at the beginning of the season.

Hilliard was scared to fumble for sure. Looks like he's running stiff because of it.
