I'm not one for kicking someone while their down and it may all be baseless conjecture at this point, but it would be nice to hear from some of you regarding the strength of his commitment.

I know his verbal was unexpected, but that doesn't mean that it's not binding. Just wondering what y'all are hearing on your end.

I haven't heard anything up to this point, but a 16 year old kid changing his mind is nothing new. I think he was too young to commit in the first place

I thought we might have some hope of keeping him after his mother started posting on the Florida 247 board because they were whining about his commitment and how it 'funny business' or something like that.

Yes it means exactly that... A "verbal" commitment is non binding. I appreciate your concern in this matter but you should climb back on your sister and let us worry about our perceived "problem".
