FBD - TBD was Yazoo Hop Project. Finally found the number y'all asked about last night... They're #67. It was worn down by the bottled date.

Last BD is a Timber Beast. Need rest to take care of my crippled wife.

It may have been worn down by the 9 beers you had!

WF usually gets stuff first, so maybe the guy at Marcello's (who you met Saturday) is wrong about getting it tomorrow. But he says they'll have it.

if you get some tomorrow, pick me up a 4 pack and itll force me to come visit saturday.

Thanks, she's ready for the influx of my UT friends coming for the State game. We're 30 minutes from Starkville here and I promised a place to stay. She says the distraction will be nice.

I have not had that one but love the Belgian version. I'm slowly inching towards getting back into brewing.

Brew day complete. What did I learn from brewing my first 5 gallon batch?

1) I need a bigger brew pot. Did a partial boil in a 4 gallon pot, yet still managed to have a small boil over when adding the bittering hops.

2) It takes a long time to cool down that much water. But I got it down to 115° in an ice bath, transfered to my fermenter, and topped off to just over 5 gallons with cold water. That got it to 80°. Took an OG reading, and came out to 1.071 with temperature adjustment.

3) Brew day wasn't much longer for the 5 gallon batch than my previous 1 gallon batches. This is gonna be worth it.

BTW, I'm doing a peanut butter chocolate imperial stout. This is gonna be good.

Very cool. I was wondering if you were doing 5 gallons yet.

Cool looking beer Dean. I saw the label and knew it must be a RR beer. I hadn't heard about that one but I'm sure it's great.

Coater: I'm surprised you didn't like the Tommyknockers. I actually like that one from them. Seems pretty close to the Wooky Jack to me.

Kim: Thanks for the Hopitoulas info. I know I'll be out beer shopping tomorrow.

Haven't had the #67 yet but that should have been very fresh. Good deal. Timber beast is solid too. Glad to hear your wife is doing better.
