In January of 1968, the beginning of a year when the world caught on fire, Guy Ferry was born in a hospital in Columbus, Ohio. And in that moment, though America would not realize it for years to come, she had welcomed into her heartland perhaps her greatest homegrown besmircher, the seed of her undoing. A baby then, now a middle-aged man, Ferry would go on to gain weight, change his name to the more ethnic-sounding Fieri, frost the tips of his hair blond, wear his sunglasses on the back of his head, become a Food Network star and open, at the beginning of September, Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar in Times Square, a restaurant that would be indicted for crimes against humanity, if only that crime fell within the Department of Health’s purview

Douche wouldn't take a picture with me on bourbon st. Lol. Wanted me to give a street performer 20 bucks to take a pic. frick that noise. I was a poor college student. His camera guy kept wanting me to take a pic withhim for some reason

I don't get the hate for Fieri, either. I think he's a pretty entertaining fellow to watc, and I watch Triple D fairly often. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

That article was fricking ridiculous. What a nonsensical, jealous hatchet job.
I don't particularly love Guy...he dresses like a tool, the hair definitely isn't for me, and I think his schtick is over the top. I used to dig what he cooked on his show, but I haven't seen him cook anything I'd make in a LONG time. But he's hard to dislike...he seems like a nice guy, he makes the places he goes to famous, he's obviously a great business man, and he's a self made guy. I read that the only food personalities/chefs that made more than he did last year were Rachel Ray and Gordon Ramsey.
And I much prefer Bourdain.
