JJ? Hell no. What about J. Lee? He is the one owed an apology. He carried us to 9-0,he stepped up and provided leadership and managed the Off. It was going fine until CLM goofed it up w/JJ once again.

So how much does coaching have to do with this? im just saying

You probably should have asked how much coaching had to do with the near loss to auburn, the debacle with towson, and now the arse kicking at florida. but there is no doubt with a little coaching up, we will be fine against the rest of our schedule, starting with south carolina.we probably would be winless with jj . and i might add, the 3rd and goal at the 6 when ware ran the ball was a really well thought play that just somehow failed.

Our 2 SR QBs last season threw for 20 TDs with 5 INTs, completed bout 62%, had a combined QB rating of bout 145, and QBed LSU to a 13-1, 9-0 record.

6 games into 2012 our current QB has 6 TDs with 3 ints, completing 62%, has a QB rating of 140, and has QBed us to a 5-1, 1-1 record and #8 NR.

Playing QB in the SEC is damn tough, coaching against SEC teams is damn tough, and it's a damn shame some of us don't seem to appreciate the elite level of success both our players and coaches have given to us LSU fans in the last 7 to 10 yrs.

should be around 8 TDs and about a 75% completion rating if we didnt have stone hands. Tat would knock the QB rating up too

JJ was able to scramble, and made a lot of his runs while under duress. Auburn 2010, while we lost, JJ was way more effective at moving the pocket and rolling out, than Lee was. He missed a lot of passes, but those were often passes Lee (and Mett) would not be able to even get off.

Go back to 2009 and remember the frustration with the offense? It was very similar to the one we have now, with the exception of different WR's and QB.

Go back and look at the scores, the stats. The offensive line was poor, there were a lot of fumbles and sacks, and more throws before the sticks than I care to remember.

The QB's stats looked decent for the year (like Metts) but sacks, fumbles and not moving the chains killed the offense. We lost to UF 13-3 that year.

Neither JJ or JL would produce better results than what we see now.

we don't jj an apology but it is now more clear than ever that he had no qb training and no scheme to work with. what we did get is ball security with him. we need at least that from mett.

Will it show we averaged 9 pts a game vs sec teams. Did we ever have less than 50 yards rushing?

You know what is amazing about that GIF (aside from perfectly capturing JJ's QB play and instincts)?

Look how Blackwell is mauling the Bama DL. Moreover, look at the space! You could drive a truck through that open space and Ware was even running in front to block.

And JJ's instincts told him to do that clusterfrick of a play.

Yep...he still had problems with accuracy but was hampered by play calling too.

Moreover, JJ's facial expression to Ware after the play, like, You dumbass, what are you doing?.......

This x 1000.

Student athlete. Gave his best to LSU for 5 years. Best wasn't good enough for the rant. Resulting cluster frick on here was sad to see.

Kinds reminds me of...well, now actually.

We have played two SEC games this year. Go back and look at the last two SEC games played last year, look up the QB stats and get back to me.

Some people owe JJ and JL apologies for the personal insults, but for the play.....not really.

Neither would do better than what you see right now. The offense looked woefully similar in 2009, you can selectively pull memories out if you choose, but I remember it well.

Lots of fumbles, sacks and a lack of third down conversions.

4733 passing yards and 34 career TD passes disagree with you. No, he wasn't the greatest ever, but he was effective and got things done.

Some QBs do that in a year

This offense has shown no improvement from game one to game 6. I thought after 1/9 we would see an offense with some type of imagination.

2009 we averaged 23ppg in SEC I know we have only played 2 SEC games but with SC and Bama ahead I doubt we average close to that.

Will see. We scored 3 whole points vs UF that year. It just seems as a year fades, peoples memories do too. We scored a whopping 23 pts vs Vandy that year as well. The sacks were horrendous that year.

No QB would save this team, not even superman (JJ)
