Best wasn't good enough for the rant
Those who could never see the feild or coach for LSU often seem to get off pissing on the back of those who could/did even while LSU is having our very most success period in LSU history....go figure.
It's really both amusing and telling.

Mett suffers because Les Miles uses an ultra conservative offense.
Coaching JJ is what gave him the idea.
Heck no!

Yes. The assholes who berated both qbs owe them an apology. More so JJ though.

All this bashing on Mett and the team is a bit absurd. WTF did you expect from an unproven QB commodity in his first SEC starts? Given the talent that left last year did you expect we would be better?
Yes. Every single poster thought Mett would be producing far more than what we had last year.
Honestly. The JJ and ford option isn't looking so shitty now, is it.

I figure we would gain a few improvisational yards and lose some passing yards. Receivers aren't good enough to help JJ this year.

Could you imagine JJ's face if the receivers dropped passes for him like they are doing for Mett?
But yes, even though the scheme was better for JJ you would have figured the coaching staff would have changed a bit more this year. But Miles went right back to ultra conservative after Mett's first 2 interceptions.

Not at all.
There was no amount of bad offensive line or bad offensive play calling that should ever make the leader of the team pout, yell at true freshman for missing a pass he threw 10 ft over his head, or physically point blaming other players for his own botched plays on the field with a national audience. He exhibited imaturity and a lack of class on and off the field for LSU.
And it had nothing to do with his race.

Playing QB in the SEC is damn tough, coaching against SEC teams is damn tough, and it's a damn shame some of us don't seem to appreciate the elite level of success both our players and coaches have given to us LSU fans in the last 7 to 10 yrs.
This. Posters saying the SEC is the toughest league , then get pissed when we are down 8 starters and lose on the road to a top 10 team.

HELL NO. JJ should be ridiculed even more today.

But, but, but...LSU has more talent than most NFL teams.
A starter goes out and we just replace him with another same level type player.
We have to come here with a good sense of humor. After all, the most successful HC in LSU history and one of the most successful currently in college football isn't seen as a "good fit" at LSU by some.

Losing wasn't the worst part. I think most of us were shocked at the product on the field offensively, and on special teams.

Some fans want to be the best again, some are satisfied with what has been done in the past..

Apology? this is the RANT

Absolutely not, JJ's decision making and quickness to blame others is what made him a sub par qb I think

Yeah. South Alabama.
JJ at best would still only get you ... almost there.
