What would yall recommend as the best lite-med weight rain gear, regardless of price.

After this weekend, I have had enough!

Browning Deluge has some nice stuff. Also, the Cabela's brand looked pretty nice the other day.

If price is no option, Sitka.

I have a Simms gore-tex jacket that is wonderful. I've had it for 10+ years and it for the most part still looks new save for all the fish slime on it.

Rivers West Vortex. Breathable rip stop and lined. Suit fits inside the pocket of the jacket. Come in camo and other colors. $89 to $99 retail.

For good rain gear there is a direct corrleation between breathability and cost. You can skimp and be protected from rain but you bet your arse your going to be sweating in warmer temps

I have a bunch of jackets, but this is by far my favorite all around. It's made by Filson, it'll last you forever

Arcteryx beta ar, it isn't sold as a raincoat, it's an alpine mountaineering coat, but it is 100% waterproof and only weighs 15 oz.

If you're not worried about price, don't get frogg toggs, get something better. They don't last very long and they'll soak through eventually, and they're noisy. I use them for fishing and hunting, but only because they're cheap as far as rain gear goes and work pretty well (until they wear out at least)
