I'll have to go with Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Season of the Witch was terrible

Halloween 3. Some throw it away because it is the only non Meyers movie in the series, but I actually think its the best "Halloween" movie of the bunch. And not just because it ties into the day the best, it is just terrifically creepy all around.

If it didn't have the "Halloween" title, I think it would have been better received.

...is more of the popular opinion. Some because it doesn't click with them. Some just hold that its different than the other movies against it.

I've always liked it. Campy, but still effective as a horror movie on its own. The rest of the Halloween sequels that followed were essentially the same movie.

I'm not a huge fan but I respect yall's opinion. It's interesting, to say the least. Maybe, I should give it a shot again.
I agree that if it didn't have the Halloween title, It'd be perceived different.

I really like the story in Halloween 3, and I agree it would have been better received if it wouldn't have been marketed in the series. I've read that originally Michael Myers was only supposed to be the focus of the first movie, and the series was supposed to be a series of different Halloween stories. Michael Myers became the focus and the focus shifted. I hated H3 the first time I saw it because I was expecting a Myers movie. As I rewatched it later, it grew on me. Halloween is still my favorite horror movie, and I like most of the sequels as well.
I always watch Ernest scared stupid in October, but I'm not sure if it counts as underrated

I think people hate on Halloween 5 too much. I liked Halloween 4 & 5 more than any of the others in the series.

I think it's safe to say Halloween H2O is the worst

They made one after H20. Jamie Lee Curtis cameo'd in the first 10 minutes and finally gets killed. It's pretty awful. I think it's the same one where people set up webcams around the house for some webshow on Halloween.

Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers is by far the worst in the series IMO.

As much I enjoy the Myers sequels, it would've been interesting to have seen where Carpenter could have taken the franchise in that direction.
