Just caught up with the last two episodes. Thought they were both really good...sucks so bad that this shite is cancelled.
Agreed that it looks like they won't have a nice ending to it...I don't know how the timing was, but if they had time to write a solid ending and didn't, I'm gonna be pissed. I still have hope that it will end well enough, but the previews, along with the fact that the coup failed, look disappointing. Anybody know if the finale is an hour, or extended (two?)..?
I've really enjoyed the show though. This is why I hate watching new shows. Stupid fricking networks.

Agreed, I think the writers fricked up by having the coup fail. It would've allowed them to focus on the sub being split by two factions and and they having no idea that their names are cleared.
Disappointing.
Just looked at my DVR schedule. It's one hour. It should really be two hours instead.
I've learned my lesson after this with networks. They have a reputation for doing this and I won't watch a new show unless it's a couple seasons in.
Disappointing.

Without a doubt for sure, I was hooked when the captain of the sub actually launched a nuke at DC. That surprised me.

I don't want to sound like a TX Tiger or Mograyback on the poliboard but could have the show's premise have scared off the big shots? Especially with there being an attempted coup of the federal gov't in the last episode.
Or people in the gov't not liking this show?
I know I sound like a loon but still.

nah, i think about that from time to time
im sure the ABC and media corporate heirarchy and big banking and the high levels of government are all more chummier than we know

That's what I was thinking. I'm sure a big factor in the show's cancellation is politics.

Agree. Been a decent series.

Bump.
Finale tonight.
I don't think there is any way this will end on a high note after the clusterfrick last week.

I hope someone tries to attack the sub and it results in global thermonuclear war. If the show dies, everyone dies.

I would have liked to see that happen.
Anyway, this was a good finale, it did tie a few things up and and I thought the last montage was pretty good. I cant believe Kylie had the guts to assassinate the president like that. I was impressed that they resolved tht much.
After all this time, I think we can call Chaplin crazy. I don't see any reason why we shouldn't call him. But the thing is, he was crazy enough his plans worked.
I still would have liked to see Seerat get his arse handed to him. POS deserves it.
Very solid series and it was more than worthy of a second season. I enjoyed it. I'm sad to see it go.
to ABC for cancelling this.

I just finished the finale, and am sad as well.
I always get depressed when a good show ends, I build some connection with them and it sucks to see them end Especially those that had more to offer and were forced to end such as this.

Finally got to watch the finale tonight.
Decent episode, but overall a bit disappointing though. I was a little confused on the whole Kylie thing though....why the hell did she kill the president? I admit that I struggled to pay attention when that part of the plot was onscreen.
All in all, they brought closure to very little IMO...it was more just that everyone went took their ball and went home. Old marine boy didn't shoot the Asian and stayed with old girl from the bar. The Chinese just went home. Saraat just left the com station and went home. The crew just went home and XO told his story to the media for 2 minutes. Etc. Just seemed like they were trying to end everything as quickly as possible. I wish when shows got cancelled that they would be able to at least have time to have closure. But I guess that's the best this show could do. Oh, and I forgot about the biggest WTF for me: the whole "kidnapping XO's wife" angle...I guess there was no point to that after all. How the frick did the dude who went and got her know where she was or anything about that whole situation..? And just like the other storylines, she ended up just going home too.
For the most part, I really enjoyed the show though, and it was nice to see something different and refreshing on tv for a change. Oh, and as always, frick you ABC.
