What do you think about animal shelters?

I say they should keep each animal 5 days. If the owner hasn't showed up to claim it by then, introduce Fido to the incinerator. I think shelters are a huge waste of tax money. If someone wants to rescue dogs and keep them at their residence that's fine with me. Just don't ask me to pay for it.

Even if there is any tax burden, I am willing to pay the few dollars to keep dangerous animals off the street, give a child a companion, and possibly save a man's best friend. Call me a socialist.

My dogs have collars with tags on them that have my or my old man's address and phone number on them.
I think everybody should have the same thing on their dogs.
As for strays and shite, meh. I can't make myself say kill em all. I like dogs alot.

my wife said if she ever won the lottery she would give half to the shelters... i told her: honey if you give half to the shelters, half to uncle sam, that means Big Daddy ain't gonna have none...
