I went in 08. What are some good places to park and possibly set up a small tailgate?

Stay the frick away.

We should start a fund to send you to a USC or Bama game instead.

I went in '10 and enjoyed the place...only bitch that I have is that their parking system is a total clusterfrick...they have this wierd system of going out a day or two before the game and roping off a place to park...what ends up happening is that a whole hell of a lot of people just go out to rope off "their spot" and when they don't show up, no one else can park there either...

basically, there ends up bieng no place to park, because a ton of the places are roped off with no car in them...

other than the parking (and cam newton running wild), I enjoyed the trip...

If you get to campus early enough, there are spots on some of the streets that run perpendicular and parallel to Magnolia (Cox, Toomer, Genelda, & Thomas). Parking there is incredibly easy and is less than a minute walk to campus. You have to get there early on gameday though.

I was thinking of parking in TigerTown shopping center and taking the shuttle in. Anyone done this?

I personally haven't done it, but I know people who have. If you're willing to plan your day around the pickup/dropoff times, then I think it would be a viable option. If you want to dictate your own schedule, it might not be the best.

I'm taking my oldest son, he's 18 and we are staying in TTown with family fri nite. The shuttle starts 4 hrs before game time so I figure that would give us enough time to check out the campus plus the pickup/ drop off is right next to 85. Was hoping to avoid the traffic nightmares I've heard about.

Being that we have Idaho this weekend, is it too early for a roll call?

what's the point of going to a college road trip if you aren't going to stay in a college town

Auburn is incredible btw. Might be my favorite road trip

Been a lot. I hate it actually. They have best tailgating after us imo, but just hate the town and people. Its funny to constantly run into bama fans there also. Didnt like their night life. Went to a couple frat parties over the years, some good, some lame. Also doesnt help weve lost the 5-6 times ive been.

Ive even been when LSU wasnt playing. Have a bunch of friends that went there.

Don't remember too much about it, so that should tell you something there.

I will say the most exciting part of the game (aside from an LSU win) was the fire that broke out in the building nest to the stadium. That was, what 16 year ago (or something like that).

Really nice fans. Very polite. Probably had 20 people welcome me. Nt like our fans at all. Ours are nice as can be, but they taunt you before they get hospitable.

Oh, but if you're looking for an electric game atmosphere you won't find it there. I went the year they won the natty. Both teams were undefeated, and there were strong NC implications. The only time there was noise was when there was a big play.

Yes, I recommend it. Nice venue. Town sucks but who cares. Their stadium is better than ours in many ways. Eagle flying in pre game is a cool thing to see.

I've been twice (1 win and 1 loss) and probably won't be back.

I know everybody has different fan experiences around the SEC (LSU included), but the Auburn fans we encountered both times were unfriendly, rude and crude. I always had better experiences with Bama fans, believe it or not, but the Auburn stadium is louder.
