Been to all SEC schools except Tennessee and Kentucky. Auburn is hands down the worst road trip/school I have ever been to. I went in 2004. I also went to UGA in 2004. We lost to Auburn on BS call. We lost to UGA 45-16. The UGA people were still cool and I had a blast at thier school/campus. I got yelled at by Auburn fans while walking back to my tailgate. I can handle getting yelled at by other SEC fans when we lose, whether home or away. But Auburn is a very redneck school. I like regular redneck, which is why I like MSU better than Auburn, think it is a prettier campus and cooler people. The problem with Auburn is that it is kids who are nerdy, as in like they were in the choir in high school, where jean shorts, and have fish hooks on thier ball caps. So it is as though they are nerdy rednecks if that makes sense? Either way, they suck balls, campus is the ugliest in the SEC and the regular fans are douche bags. I want to one day take my children to all SEC schools on road trips, but will never go to Auburn again because I do not want to subject my kids to that jerkoff school.

Really good sandwich shop - Mama somethings? And Lee county jail is OK... the guards are much nicer than at EBR. Just my take.

Mama Goldberg's sandwich shop- I agree. It's a nice place to grab a bite to eat and only a quarter mile walk to the stadium. I think it's at the corner of Donahue and Magnolia?

We are going this year for the first time since 2004. We went in 2002 as well and were extremely underwhelmed each time. I put Auburn a notch above Starkville in ambience but filled with douchebags.

We have been to Oxford, Tuscaloosa,Gainesville, Athens, and Starkville. Oxford is the best hands down in my opinion followed by Gainesville and Tuscaloosa. Auburn and Starkville are the worst but at least the Starkville people aren't jackasses.

great road trip---auburn fans we encountered were nice and a lot of friendly BS back and forth. we lost all 3 times--so not going this year!! But the pregame ritual of the Eagle flying into the stadium is awesome.

Last trip was the Interception Game.

Might be the most miserable loss I ever witnessed.
The only salvation was that it helped speed the coaching change process up.

i enjoyed the stadium. everything else I hated. nothing to do, small town, tailgating was a huge disappointment, hotel was in montgomery, no good looking women, and fans were dickheads. been twice and i won't go back

Always have a great time at AU. I'm planning to go up for the LSU @ AU game this season. Went to the last LSU @ AU game there and had an absolute blast.

Always get treated well by their fans, some of the most hospitable in the South.

What are the rules about beer and drinking? Does it need to be in a cup, or is it like LSU where you can drink anywhere and don't have to hide it?

It's one of the better road trips in the SEC; probably third behind Tuscaloosa and Athens.

People drink openly there all the time. Not sure what the official stance is though.

Yeah, but I'm never going back to Auburn again.

Not after my BBQ pit fell over in the barn.
