Anyone bought furniture from Ashley Furniture a couple of weekends ago?

This is really random but I remember seeing this commercial in late August advertising that if the Saints returned the first punt in their regular season Washington game for a TD, all furniture bought the August weekend was free. LINK
So at the dome Sunday, I was waiting for a punt to see if Sproles would cost the furniture store $1,000's, and then Washington finally punted. However, it was blocked for a TD. I'm wondering what happen with the whole furniture special. Does the block return for a TD count, or did they crawfish their way out of an enormous financial debacle?

It probably will not count becasue it says the Saints "First official punt return." That was not a punt return but a block / return. However, I am sure Ashley Furniture is getting its attorneys ready because people will want to claim it as a punt return.

Their rules say, "If an eligible player on the Saints receives and returns the punt for a TD" I don't know if that really counts as received, but you better believe I'd be in there trying at least.

now that is an excellent question!! i don't believe it specified a non-blocked punt.. and it was returned for a TD.. i believe that Olinde's here in BR had the same deal..

i'd like to know what the outcome is on this...

I'm sure it was an insured risk they were taking on. Similar to the win a car type thing at golf tournaments.

yea it won't actually cost Ashley anything, but whatever bank or insurance agency insured the this "competition"

but I guarantee you they have their lawyers on it going through the fine print

Roby still "recieved the ball" after it was "punted". Then proceeded to "return" it.

With them using the words, official punt return, they wont have to pay anything. It was not an official return for a TD.

That totally counts! Now I can recoup my loss for Rick James ruining my couch.
