I hope they get better, but they stopped nothing today! Spagnuolo looked like he was about to blow a gasket!

Not really, when they needed a stop to give the offense the ball back they let RG complete a pass right down the middle to the TE.

Redskins playcalling had them on their heels. Im not sure they are as bad as they looked today.

Ok.

That was the only first down that drive, correct?

yep, but it was what the Redskins wanted in order to kill the clock.

I would argue that's the definition of "ok."

yeah, I can agree with that, but the DLine is still not shutting down the run like they need to. I've seen enough of Sedric Ellis to know he doesn't have it, he was a bust at No. 1, put the rook Hicks in. And the secondary is a weak link, Harper was def overpaid, Loomis jumped the gun on him. We need Greer back fast and I say start Johnny Patrick at the other corner because the other Patrick is not the answer IMO.

Washington could have gotten another first down if they wanted, they chose to run 3 straight times now.

Greer comes back our secondary is immensely better, that along with Patrick playing Nickle instead of White. We need more of Galette/Wilson since Smith didn't do much. That and activate Hicks, hardly any penetration up the middle. Everyone we play from now on will have game tape on them. Spags needs to stop blitzing Jenkins and leave him in coverage instead of Harper.

We still need help at OLB though, every outside run or delayed cut back/QB run killed us.

When Spags first got the Giants D. They got crushed the first 4 games. After that - NADA. No team scored over 20 on them the rest of the season. Look at AZ last year and how much they got better as the season progressed. I think we'll see the same.

Well it looks like Carolina's offense sucks so maybe they'll get some confidence next week

10 guys can do an awesome job on defense but it doesn't matter if one guy(Harper) screws it up.

He's such a massive liability in coverage that it just kills us. I don't know that any team in the league has to cover up for one guy as much as the Saints have to with Harper.

I wonder all the time what to do with Harper.

He's a player without a position.

Harper should be used to blitz exclusively and on runs, but then you would be payin a ridiculous amount of money for a specialty player.

I know it won't happen this year...I like the guy, but cut him please!

You'd lose a little in run defense, but its not possible for his replacement to be worse in pass defense. Thats a net positive, imo.

Maybe Spags has the balls to bench him, I dont know. Unless Shanle got hurt, it looks like he got benched pretty fast today.

It's hard to argue with what you're saying.

But damn, what a waste of cap space.

Still need more pass rushers. Spags' defense is built around front four pressure and he doesn't really have the guys to do it yet.
