Honestly I pretty much saw his death coming.... solely because Sean Bean was playing him and I was pretty convinced they wouldn't convince him to play a role for the next few years. Maybe I saw it on the Sean Bean death real, but I don't remember it specifically.

every single time I hear "payphone" on the radio I immediately have to go watch the parody instead.

Couldn't get video because phone was dead. We just watched it. When Joffrey said "Bring me his head." I looked at him. He was laying down and just sat up and his jaw dropped. "No....no...."
Arya starts to run through the crowd and he jumps up and says "Yes! She's gonna frick shite up. I knew that training would pay off......wait who is that.....no let her go!......."
After the beheading he just sat in silence as the credits rolled. Then: "Oh my god....I can't wait until the next episode to see the count queen's reaction when they kill Rescue Me (his name for Jaime because of Jaime's similar appearance to Jaime) in retaliation."

When I watched with the BF (I had already watched and read the first 3 books at that point) he figured Sean Bean would probably die (because that's just what he does) but he had no idea he'd go out like that. He just kind of sat there in silence and then looked at me and said, "shite just got real didn't it?". I just shook my head.

I didn't cry but I was pissed. I just kept waiting for someone to step in and stop it. And I'm pretty sure I yelled out "Oh no!" when it happened.
I sat there for a good few minutes in disbelief and then said something along the lines of "frick that little inbred bastard".
It was at that point I vowed I would not be satisfied until Joffrey died a miserable death.
