When was last time officials impacted an LSU game? Almost never IMO

I am likely in the minority here, but I have never agreed that officials ever purposely, and VERY rarely even in error cost any team, much less LSU games (Vandy may have an argument though). In any case, I have seen all the film on the 2006 and 2004 Auburn and 2009 Bama (sorry, odds of us driving the field even IF we intercepted ball were very low), bit in the end, I still believe the officials do their best and overall do very good job. So was wondering, when was last time officials really impacted a game for LSU, win or lose? 2009? Appreciate other’s thoughts, but has any official ever been convicted or admitted to “fixing” a D1 game..ever?

well we wouldve won the 2004 auburn game had it not been for that stupid fricking rule
also, we likely wouldve won the 2006 auburn game if they wouldve called the early doucet pass interference.
which means we win the SEC west that season, get a rematch with Florida in the SEC champ (if we dont already beat them being undefeated going into the reg season game), beat them, then beat Ohio State in the National Championship, but yea, i guess officials really havent cost us much

9-9 game with little time left and Auburn misses a PAT and they call some bullshite penelty, falling on the lineman, that they took out of existence after they saw how stupid it was.
Yeah, that impacted an LSU game.
Yeah, that impacted an LSU game.

Auburn 06. Only game I can honestly say that the officials royally fricked us over multiple times. One call and human error will happen but that shite was fricking criminal IMO.

I doubt we beat Bama in 09, but I would have LOVED to have seen us have a shot at the drive.
The outcome of that game is not the point though. The fact that replay was in existence, and PP7 CLEARLY caught the ball/stayed in, and LSU didn't get the call is still, to this day, the most solid arguement ever presented that ref's (at least those refs) had an Alabama tilt.
I still absolutely cannot believe that LSU was not awarded the ball there. Truly unbelievable.

Officials didn't call an OSU field goal good, when ti was between the uprights last year, and they lost to IOwa state so we had to play Bama again instead of a easy OOC team as is the usual reward for winning the SEC.

Last time officials "Cost" LSU a game was Alabama 1999 by not calling an injury timeout.
Officials "impact" close games all the time.

2006 Ole Miss although we did not lose. At The end of the first half the officials stopped the clock incorrectly and the tried to explain it. 1st it was a time out ( Ole Miss's 4th of the quarter) Then the said incomplete pass ( the play was a run). Then the officials had to be escorted off of the field by a larger than normal State Police security detail. 2009 Cap one bowl when Penn State D-Lineman sat on Lafell to run the clock and the officials through a unsportsman flag on one of our O-lineman for pulling the guy off. Check the unsportsman thrown on Hester in the 2007 Bama game although we did win, and re-watch the 2008 bama/LSU game.
The officials are not held to a very high standard in my opinion. A coach will be fined for criticizing them. They are not fined or penalized when the screw up royally. The official who clotheslined the SC player in the LSU/SC game should have been at least suspended for the rest of the year. The former Auburn DB who blew the call in 2006 should certainly not be allowed to officiate Auburn games, for that matter you should not be allowed to officiate games in which a school is involved in the state you live in or went to school. I know that i could not be objective officiating an LSU game so I can not expect someone that has been a fan of a team or hates a team to objectively officiate a game involving one of those teams.
