Any VT fans here able to give me a quick rundown on yalls strengths, weaknesses, and outlook? I am awful following the ACC in the offseason so I'd like to know what to expect tonight.

Hope GT has improved, but I have major doubts about CPJ and the direction we're headed. It seems without a great WR to overcome our horrible QB-passing play, the option truly is figured out.

I have no idea on this one. I will make a small play just to have something to do, which will most likely be either the over orthe under.

If VT has good enough athletes on D, teams that have 2+ weeks of prep for Johnson's O usually handle it well. VT and the points.

they have always had good enough to get by who they are supposed to. Clemson last year showed they still are not even close to the rest.

lets see if he has developed some touch and accuracy hes got the arm and the size and is great scrambling on 3 and 12 for a first down but he misses some pretty easy throws

This is the biggest and deepest OL CPJ has had since being hired at Tech. Tevin Washington is a 5th yr senior who knows our offense inside and out, pair him with Orwin Smith and I think we have a punchers chance tonight. I'm not too worried about the offense because Paul Johnson is one of the best at in game adjustments and we will score enough to win, just have to hope the defense holds.
To the OP, you must follow Auburn way more than GT because if you knew anything you'd see that our recruiting is the best it's ever been and we are on the up and up. Defense, not offense, is what's held us back in CPJ's tenure so far.

Our strengths...

QB - We are running more of a Shotgun attack this year, which gives Logan a few more options

DL - our line is deep, and will put any team in trouble if we can get a little lead

DBs - Experience and athletism...

K - our thug kicker is back, and will provide accuracy and distance

Weaknesses/Unknown

OL - some very good talent on paper, but who knows if they gel

Punter - we are going with a freshman punter

I think we (VT) will win this game, but not sure why and I am usually a pessimist.

It is our Orange Effect game, so bring sunglasses to not go blind

This is what so many people just cant understand about GT. We lose games bc of our terrible defense and inept special teams. People love to point fingers at the triple option but in reality, that is never the reason why we lose games. Our offense has, and will be fine. There may be games we dont score 40 and have 600 yards rushing but in almost every game, our offense does enough for us to win.

I'm very nervous about this game. This should be our most athletic defense since CPJ has been here. I have my doubts about Tevin...Hopefully we have a few packages for Vad. Hope Charles Perkins has his breakout game too.

I think we lose. I'm going into it extremely negative in hopes I get surprised.

I think we lose as well but Tech has surprised me many times before. I wouldn't be surprised if Vad is starting about week 3. Also depends how tonight goes.

Me too. Hate having the Coastal Division Championship Game week 1. Would much rather be playing Presbyterian now and VaTech in October
