This is a nightmare senario for South Tangi.

This samething happened in spring of 1983. The difference is that then it was already flooded.

Just came to post the same thing. Last thing the NS needs is more water with no place to go.

Is this expected to cause significant flooding along the river where it crosses hwy 22 between Pontchatula and Madisonville? Should that area be evacuating?

The biggest threat here is the millions of empty bottles along the bottom of the river thrown in by drunken redneck tubers for the last thirty plus years will come flying down river at warp speed, an enormous deathshheet of glass...

When I read the type-o in the thread title, for some reason I hear it in Madea's voice in my head.

Tangipahoa River then Lake Pontchartrain.

Would I-55 be affected at all by this?

I'd be concerned w/I-12 & US 190 at Robert as well.

Its 700 acres of water.Thats just over a square mile.Would be quite a bit of water heading south.

Heading south into already swollen rivers and lakes.
