On the road closures sign it says 190 is closed. Anyone know where it is closed until? Could my family get on i12 from river oaks?

I just drove in and out of River Oaks. You will need an SUV or pickup, but easily passable through entrance. All main roads in Mandeville and Covington are clear.

Quick Way gas station at 1077/I-12 is open.

Just replenished our beer, ice, water, and snacks supply. Cash only of course

May be late on this but just reviewed the thread. Went as far back as Pines and it looks as though zero homes took in any water.

Yeah we just rolled through Pines as well. It's a lake behind those houses though

I wouldn't consider any of the roads there to be main roads. I would assume they're talking about 190, 59, 1088, 22, etc.

Well 190 goes right up to the Causeway, so I would assume it's closed up until a certain point. I also think 22 is closed in some areas

Sorry, but I mean't all main roads to get around town. The lakefront is closed from Monroe St to the lake.

My guess would be you have to exit north causeway before you get to the toll booths. And I'm sure 22 is closed as you get closer to the river.

The Barley Oak facebook page said the water in old mandeville receded to Jefferson.

You can't go across the causeway over the lake, but you can drive up to the booths. Hwy 190 is completely open in Mandeville and Covington. Hwy 22 is closed in Madisonville. I drove all over Mandeville and Covington, other than the lakefront and a few subdivisions right on the rivers, you can get anywhere.

Just went to help my fiancé's parents pack things in there house. They live in Hammond just north of Old Covington Hwy. They were like one of the only subdivisions that had water to the top of my tires. They were given orders to leave cuz of the river.

Not to be a dick, but technically Hwy 190 turns east towards Slidell by the K Mart (overlapping Hwy 22).

From the overpass to the toll booth is actually North Causeway Blvd(not a Federal or State hwy), not Hwy 190.
