Ok, just saw my DVR caught a 15 min GOT: A Gathering of Shadows teaser - well really a review of S2 -

I have a mental woody. Can't believe S3 is here!!!!

ETA: I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that House Baelish is cursed. We all know about it, but we like to fancy him a Lord of the Vale (temporary at that) via his, what? Stewardship? of The Eyrie...or that he will have Winterfell even (the-Highborn-to-be lil Rob in Jeyne Stark's womb will quash that pipe dream) not to mention his "Masterful" playing of The Game so far...none of it changes the fact that his Seat (DOOM) lies just off the God's Eye...and this voice from the grave (Her voice, coincidence?) serves to remind little-lord-Fauntleroy-finger just how dark Black Harran's shadow still is...

Geez,19. Why this sudden hate for LF?
My new CPT:

LF caused the war.

This spying little shite, rejected by Cat and humiliated by her betrothed, got wind of the hush-hush R+J. He may have even intercepted a raven's letter, or just claimed to have. Knowing how close Brandon and Lyanna were, LF knew Brandon would fly off hell bent for King's Landing if he thought his sister was being held against her will, and the Mad King would have Brandon exiled to the Wall or worse for the accusations against Rhaegar, and the Crown, by proxy. Leaving Cat unwed and available again.

Motive and opportunity.

A forged letter. An false eyewitness account of the abduction. Wouldn't take much to set the events in motion.
I won't say he expected war, that wasn't the result he was looking for.

He didn't get Cat either. He got something better: something he could be good at, something that gave his miserable life purpose.

Clumsy and dangerous, the kidnapping story was.
But hey,

...it was his first move in The Game.

I'm wondering if we can use this as the defacto thread for discussion for those who are completely up to date on all books?

Cause I wanted to chime in the thread someone put about being gobsmacked by the RW but it seems like some in there may not have gotten through all the books so I decided not to risk it. What I wanted to ask is: So, where do whores go, anyway?

Oh, and I have the crackpot theory of all crackpot theories(I may have even thrown this one out waaayyy somewhere near the beginning of this thread).

It is: The White Walkers are really the good guys. They come around every couple thousand of years trying to instill progress and goodness and light only to be killed/driven off by the backwards humans with their magic and violence and those creepy little guys Bran has taken to hanging around with.

I don't think Littlefinger could have done this. He was like 14 during Robert's Rebellion. I just don't think he had the resources to do this.

Plus Lyanna was already betrothed, and Rhaegar already married. It wasn't up to them to marry each other.
