This. But Dorne can kiss my arse. I've read it through all 3 reads and still can't find anything I enjoy in them. Hated Qeuntyn's as well.

Did y'all see how the girl that we all thought was going to be the waif is actually going to be Leaf?? Nice to know that the show will be progressing with Bran's story in ADWD. GRRM gonna be pissed when the show goes into TWoW territory with Bran in Season 5, but that's George's fault for being a lazy frick.
Octavia Alexandru is CotF Leaf in S5

. I saw it on my Facebook newsfeed this morning so I felt the need to post it.
Also, I agree with people about Dorne. I don't understand Doran Martell's 'game', at all. He sat back all these years putting his plans into play, and they're basically shite for plans. Marrying Arianne to Viserys before seeing if Viserys is a whackjob like his father? Yeah, that's swell Doran. I know the Martells are distantly related to the Targs, but fricking Aerys held Elia and her kids as a captive. I know the Dornish blame the Lannisters and Baratheons for everything, but why not blame the fricking mad king for holding them hostage? I sure as hell wouldn't want to marry my kids to Targs, seeing how they basically caused Elia to be in a shitty place and how Rhaegar ran off with Lyanna while she was still married to him. Then Quentyn is sent by Doran to Dany and gets turned into Dornish barbecue by her dragons. Then Arianne (as of what we know right now) is heading to Storm's End to meet with Faegon. OH, and I forgot about sending Oberyn to King's Landing; Doran had to know that Oberyn being the hot head that he is would possibly never return to Dorne alive because of his JusticeforElia vengeance.
While some fans view Doran as a 'clever' player, I can't help but think that he held things too close to his vest for too long. He may be working alongside Illyrio and Varys, but I'm not entirely sure. I honestly think that he's going to end up fricking up Dorne in the long run; Arianne is probably going to marry Faegon and get killed in the process; I don't see Arianne surviving the series, that's for sure. And there's really no point to Trystane, other than he's the spare heir like Rickon. And since Quentyn is toast and Arianne will probably die, and you know Doran is going to die because of his health, that Trystane will be the one to rule Dorne eventually.

Hey guys. Quick question. Which season of GOT are they about to start. I can't remember if I finished season 2 or 3 a couple of months ago. How did each season end? I've read the books so not really worried about anybody spoiling it. TIA
Posted on 11/13/13 at 3:28 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
About to start season 4. Season 3 ended between the red wedding and the purple wedding with the latter to come.

Much appreciated!!!
When does 4 start?

Well I haven't found anything to read lately and I'm kinda broke. Guess it's time to start my first reread. Does reader status change after a reread? Is there an official list of reader statuses?

I just finished the last book and sonuvabitch this series got me fricked up. Jon Snow you know nothing. I thought Dany was a goner also.

No, but there should be.

How did heknow, that his daughter & Darkstar were going to name Myrcella heir to the Iron Throne& that Cersi was planning to have Trystane killed?

Probably Areo Hotah for #1 and Varys for #2.
Posted on 11/13/13 at 5:16 pm to ladytiger118
I agree with #2, but not with #1. Areo was the one that told his little princess that someone always talks, when she asked how her father knew. He would have told her if it was him, I'm curious if he even knows.

Man I can't get over Jon snow. I assume he isn't dead since they didn't talk about ghost. What could they have been thinking? Tormund is gonna frick some shite up! Has to be some kind of trick with melisandre. Snow knew it when he saw the message by Air. I gotta go reread some shite.
Posted on 11/13/13 at 6:24 pm to CootKilla
Most fans think that Jon isn't dead and that either Mel or the magic of the Old Gods is going to resurrect him. And that he'll warg into Ghost while he's out and/or connect with Bran through the weirnetwork.
Posted on 11/13/13 at 6:28 pm to ladytiger118
There is no chance that Jon Snow is dead. I wish I would have realized that on my first read. Had to have sheetrock repaired when I threw the book at the wall.

Man it really ruined my day. If I ever meet grrm, he's gonna die a red wedding death. No way snow is dead, I had too much invested in him!

if you've read that far, you know not to trust any death scene ever

Yes I know. I just reread the chapter and I am gonna go with Jon got wih melisandre and was looking into the fire and that is what he saw. Although it said smoke cam out of his wound so maybe he is a dragon after all.

GRRM loves trolling people with death scenes. Everyone thought Davos was dead in AFFC, but nope, he was alive in ADWD. Same with the Red Wedding chapter and Arya; nope, the Hound just knocked her out to save her life, not kill her. Catelyn Stark is "dead," nope Beric resurrects her as Lady Stoneheart. Brienne is "hung" by LS, nope she meets Jaime again in ADWD. Bran after falling from the window; nope, wakes up from coma.
I have a feeling the same will happen to Jon. We're all going to think he's dead when he is either: 1) brought back to life, 2) in a coma like Bran was and wakes up.
