Yeah, I kind of agree.
Once Davos brings Rickon back to the North, Stannis's army will have a new lord to fight for. His story arc will be just about played out IMO.

Not only that but he needs to die to prove to Mel once and for all that he is not the Azor Ahai reborn and that the true AA is indeed Jon Snow

I think she already knows.

He's got 20,000 sellswords on the way and possibly the Royal Fleet( Aurane Waters was fighting for Stannis at King's Landing). Stannis is far from done, if anything, things are about to really open up for him. I think the end of his arc will be bending the knee to Jon or advising him in some way. There was too much built up with them at the wall for Stannis just to die and not have any influence on Jon.

She does, but she is in denial, I think.
Stannis dying would seal the deal. I really hope that that's not how it goes down.

I think she just doesn't have the courage to tell Stannis she was wrong, given the previous choking incident.

I guess. Re-reading AFFC right now. Thoughts on Randyll Tarley? Seems to be a letter of the law no BS kind of Lord like our poor old dead Ned.

I think Ned is the only person I can say was perfectly cast, and possibly little finger.
Varys I would say is perfectly cast as well. Definitely can't imagine anyone else in the role besides him.

But I wonder: will Bran reveal R+L=J to Stannis soon? He just might.
Why would Bran know that?

Just a theory. I have no idea.
Randyll Tarley is a fricking badass. I can't wait to see what his role is in TWOW. He is just the paragon of hardass.
OML, I forgot Varys. That actor is just awesome. The little facial expressions are amazing.

Stannis will not survive the the winds of winter IMO
I think he will. I think he'll eventually realize that he is not Azor Ahai reborn, and make some sort of sacrifice when he realizes that Jon Snow is. Think that will be sometime in "A Dream of Spring".

I'm hoping that Stannis actually realizes himself and then makes some sort of sacrifice for Jon Snow.

Randyll Tarly is much more capable than Mace Tyrell and will betray Mace under the walls of Storm's End. They'll be there to root Aegon out and Tarly will prove his Targaryen loyalty by wiping out the Tyrells. At that point Aegon will command the military might of the south. Stannis will have the north, Aegon the south, Dany will have the Iron Born & Unsullied, and Sansa will have her knights of the Vale. Should be a hell of an end to the series.

He appears to be the most badass Lord left in Westeros. I wonder how Sam will play into the entire equation. Can't fricking wait.
ETA: A father/son redemption would be awesome.

Randyl Tarly is as stubborn as Stannis. I don't see it happening.
