what sucks is his total disregard for the team by his selfish actions.

This is a huge myth. Perriloux's dismissal didn't wreck the team for years.
Pleas explain how losing an experienced 5* SECCG winning QB wouldn't be a detriment to success?
There were only 13 commits that year and the regressed years that followed are easily traced back to the period. There was a lot of ground to make up in all positions.
Saban's defection had much to do with the down years.

Dumb frickin statement.

Does anyone know when he started with drugs? Was it something he just started at LSU or was he into it in high school?

He went to St. Aug, this started long before LSU...

It's a shame that these young men that are given an opportunity of a lifetime can't muster up enough self control to do what's expected of them for 4 years! Go to class, study and play football, is it really that hard?

I wonder, does anyone know if there are any NCAA rules against a player who transfers from a school transferring back to the same school? The point of course is whether it would be possible (assuming LSU and Coach Miles would allow it) for Mathieu to transfer back to LSU for his Senior season after a year at McNeese?

I AGREE 100% ,He was given 3 chances to get himself straight. No one should be above the team and Miles has to show the rest of the team just that. TM is a dumb arse ,he has blown a major opportunity to be a 1 or 2nd round pick in the NFL.Hopefully he will get his act together and be a productive person, however my main concern is for LSU and our success on and off the field!

Perilloux was worse. QB is more specialized. And the people behind him.....never mind.

The Honeybadger didn't care. SWIDT??

What was he positive for? Weed?

I would be willing as a fan to dedicate my services to The Program. I will educate these guys on how awesome alcohol can be, and how to do it properly.

He is a 5'7" or 5'9" DB. Great motor and instincts but not irreplaceable.

I hope TM7 gets his shite together. His catalystic talent was unparalleled in the NCAA.

The odds are against him though. His fall from grace hasn't hit rock bottom yet, IMO.

Best of luck Tyrann, there are people out there that will always believe in the underdog.

I would have loved to have had RP at LSU in 08 and 09.

I think its a fairly safe bet we win 3-5 more games in that 2 yr period and who knows what happens to JJ/JL if they get to develop for two seasons as backups.

Oh well, chit happens.

We, as LSU fans, have a whole hell of a lot to be thankful for with our football program. We can't gripe too much bout a little rain.

It is a shame - I agree. And for many of us we just scratch our heads wondering what were they thinking.

On the other hand, there are a lot of ghosts in their past, a lot of responsibilities they've never had before, and a lot of glory to go with it. He just didn't handle it. What a shame.

Hatch, JJ and lee weren't exactly scrub recruits..

i never liked the fact that lee only had 2 years qb experience in his entire football career coming out of high school. i know he put up good numbers but i believe he was on a legit squad.

According to The Advocate this morning, a "source close to TM" said that TH was focused in on getting ready physically for the season but "got a little lax" in his off the field habits, knowing that this would probably be his last season at LSU". Also said that he knows he costs himself a lot of money but is more upset bout leaving his teammates "hanging". FWIW.

Sucks for everyone.

No one wins in this situation.

Maybe McNeese.

We can only hope.
