How many rantards yell "TIGERS" instead of "brave" in the National Athem? Some poster along with myself thought it was a naturally occurring instance in TS. Some others think its childish.

Always at LSU home games, but other wise it doesn't even make sense.

I can understand the distaste of it. However, America is indeed the home of the Tigers. And we love America for it. I do it every time. Its not out of disrespect, its still because of pride in our country.

i wonder if military find a problem with it since it takes out the word "brave". like it means we appreciate our tigers more than we appreciate the people that fought for our freedom.

they really should know there isnt any ill intent.

Since our Tigers were named after a Famous Military Unit, I don't see how that applies at all. In fact, it seems to meet all the requirements...

I'm not telling anyone what to do, but I don't do that. It's our national anthem. It represents the country just like the flag does. You don't change the words or make a mockery of it. Shouting out "Tigers" is certainly not "respectful", now is it? You wouldn't write "geaux tigers" on the flag would you? That's how I feel.

Considering it's "the land of the free" I don't think it's disrespectful at all. I think it's celebrating the fact that we have the freedom of speech and expression in this country. Long live the U.S. and the Tigers.

I always whisper "brave" really quick before yelling "TIGERS!!!!!" at the top of my lungs. Problem solved.
