This opens the door for ridley, he's got some serious potential.

This has nothing to do with Ridley. The door was already wide open for him

I dont know. It just says he failed it

The Patriots announced the release of veteran running back Joseph Addai today. ESPNBoston.com's Field Yates reports, citing a source, that Addai failed a physical upon reporting to the team Wednesday.

6 year career for a running back is pretty normal.

He was named to the 2008 pro bowl.

Oh, and I'll add this about Addai and I think its the main reason the Colts drafted him.

The son of a bitch was fearless and would go straight up nose to nose to block a blitzing linebacker.

Did Faulk officially retire? If so I missed it while I was being awesome.

One of my all time favorite LSU players. I've probably never seen a better example of kid just showing up, keeping his mouth shut, working hard, and getting a little better each year.

Especially the getting better each yeard part.

I wouldn't call Addai's career underwhelming.

He's had a perfectly solid, albeit not spectacular career.

Do people realize how many #1 pick RBs fizzle altogether much less manage a pro-bowl appearance?

You survive 6-8 years as a RB in the NFL and you have to call that pretty successful. Nobody expected him to turn into A Peterson or something.

They expected him to be pretty good and to start for a bit and he did that.

$75,000 signing bonus and $50,000 workout bonus.

So worse case, Joe sits out a little while with $125 grand fresh in the bank.

If we could all be so lucky.

But seriously, someone will pick him up. Veteran back with gas left in the tank. Only so many of those in the league.

Peyton knows Addai can block

Hopefully he'll speak up and at least give him a look out there. Might be exactly what Peyton needs, someone else he's familiar with.
