***MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE WHOLE SERIES IN HERE***

First of all I want to say this show was outstanding, Omar (RIP ) is one of my favorite TV/Movie characters ever. That being said, I have a few questions/concerns about the last season. I'm assuming this was all talked about when it was running but I obviously was not in the conversation.

1. WTF happened to Avon Barksdale, He's not in season 4 at all, and he is in I think just the one episode of Season 5. But didn't McNulty make the comment that he was only going back in to serve his full 7? So even though he was "helping" Marlo, I'm assuming he'd be right back in the game when he gets out, with Slim Charles as his second?

2. WTF happened to Cutty, he's not in season 5 at all, his story was really cool and then we just stopped hearing about him completely, I kind of assumed one of his kids was going to kill him one day, but now I guess I'll assume he kept running his gym and slaying the women.

3. I know that city was corrupt as shite, but I don't see how at least McNulty, if not Freeman doesn't serve time in prison. I mean McNulty was fricking with crime scenes, and he kidnapped a guy. To many people knew about that for somebody not to speak up, shite that shady reporter knew because McNulty told him.

4. I'm so glad Cheese died, that dude sucked dick, Slim Charles is awesome

5. I'm assuming Michael is becoming the new Omar, I think you could see that coming even before he robbed Marlos rim guy, he was always questioning stuff and obviously had a little more of a code than Chris and Snoop. It would have been cool to see him grow up and what he becomes. Also I could see Namond becoming some kind of politician, and him knowing Michael it would have been a cool dynamic, even if that would be 10-15 years down the road.

6. I guess the whole point of The Wire is to show you that basically the cops are fighting a battle they can't win; they bring one guy down and 5 more are ready to step up. These guys don't care about prison, some don't even care whether they live or die. Marlo is interesting, he truly just wants people to know who he is, I think it's pretty obvious he isn't going to be able to stay out the game. It would have been really cool to see him and Avon finish their war once he got out, I'm not sure who the co-op would go with, they don't like Marlo but he's got all the power.

Overall I would say this series is phenomenal; I wish we could have gotten another few seasons so it could have been wrapped up a little better. I wasn't crazy about the final seasons story (besides Omars). McNulty and Freamon just went insane in trying to catch Marlo, I really ended the show with no respect at all for McNulty, he constantly fricks over everyone who tries to help him, and he doesn't seem to care. The Journalists were my least favorite out of all the single season characters (the kids, the dock workers) I just didn't think that story was super interesting. I will say it showed well how every aspect of that city was corrupt, and it was hard for honest people everywhere working for or with the city.

My favorite (important) character: Omar no question, that dude was fricking cool

Least favorite (important) character: Probably McNulty, obviously he's a better person than all the drug dealers and mass murderers, but he is just annoying and an a-hole (I know thats what he's supposed to be, I guess it worked)

The ending montage with McNulty driving into Baltimore & his "funeral" were awesome.

One of my fav characters on the show. I loved how his character developed from when he first turned Marlo's money down to him becoming the new Omar. He always seemed to be more interested in how the game worked rather than just be a soldier.

Michael was a beast, and I agree, his character development was top notch.

Was that not in the montage at the end? I could've sworn there was a scene where it showed him hanging out with the nurse chick from when he got shot.

Yeah, same. Hated to see him go the way he did because Cheese didn't know WTF he was talking about..but I see his viewpoint as well.

If you would have paid attention, you would have known that he didn't kidnap anyone. That was his brother that he put in that shelter.

OK. Well he is at the part where Dukie tries to go train at the gym and Cutty tells him to get out of Baltimore. So he's either doing like you said or dating the nurse chick and running the gym.

Cutty was my favorite character after Omar.

I think the end of season 3 scene between him and Marlo in the court room showed the changing of the guard. He kind of accepted defeat and passed it down to him. I also think he received something like 25 years in prison, effectively ending his run.

They definitely show the hopeless inner city mentality like you said in here very well. The Wire was about much more than Cops vs. The Street though to me. It's about the American city and how that city is one big machine, run by several different units. They address those units more specifically in the different seasons (the city government, the media, etc.) and how each is a part of the problem in the underlying structure.

Obviously the series ends well before any point that Avon would get out, but I doubt Marlo would even be alive when Avon was out. Marlo and Avon were both characters destined to die in the streets or in jail.

Cutty is in season 5. Michael brings Dukie to the gym to learn how to fight.

1. The case against Marlo's people breaks down if they find out an illegal wire tap was used to gain intel.

2. The reporter wouldn't say shite because McNulty had just as much dirt on him.
