i like our chances, a lot of other teams in the sec are talking shite, but to be honest i think they are concerned. if LSU had any type of a passing game last year, "we" would have won it all. mettenberger has all the tools to be successful, and i think he will be.

yardage isn't as big as protecting the ball
no interceptions needs to be included in that
he had two in spring game, granted that was against LSU secondary

I love Childers. Bill King is fine too. Mark Packer is dull. Findbaum is unlistenable.

If that defense is just nearly as good as last year's with a boosted offense, the sky is the limit with this bunch. I am not surprised about that prediction.

its interesting how nationally so many pundits think we are a good choice to win it all, but writers around the SEC think 1/9 wrecked the program and Alabama will win the SEC/NC every year that Saban is there.

Thgat adds to my statement that if we get 200 yards passing in a game we won't lose.

50 yards a game coupled with an average of an int/game or so more isn't good.

50 yards and efficiency is the key.

Mett's self discipline will be important. He needs to know when to fish or cut bait and not throw into coverage like he did in the Spring game that time.

Let alleman kick the FGs, let the D do their thing, make some big plays and take care of the offense and Mett will do very well.

Hell, with LSU's defense and special teams shortening the field every series, 50 yds could be 3 trips to the endzone.

LSU had a plus 20 turnover ratio last year with only 5 lost fumbles. Only 2 in the nation to Okie St. Look for a few more turnovers but top 25 passing offense should off set additional turnovers. In the Spring Game two things stood out - 1 - ZM8 going through progressions on passing game and 2 - Our secondary is long and deep. Best I have ever seen at this level.

I'm not sure who you're hearing from but I just heard Finebaum being interviewed and even he was talking up LSU. They asked him why should anyone think it won't be LSU and Alabama again this year as the 2 best teams and he said he couldn't think of a reason this year will be any different. He did say that he saw Alabama winning 11 games but he didn't see them getting by LSU this year. They asked him about Mettenberger and he said he thought he'd be very good, not great but that he didn't have to be great with the team he'll have around him. I don't get how one Alabama writer now equals "writers around the SEC". All I've been hearing is #1 LSU #2 Alabama in the SEC from the media.

We'd have had that 50 more last year had Lee played the rest of the season.

If lee plays the whole 11/5 bama game we dont win the sec and we dont go to the national championship.

I was a big Lee fan, but to be honest with you, I have to agree with this.
