A friend mentioned they are now selling fresh seafood..... I needed some shrimp for tonight (usually drive to Addis Seafood - for best prices)... So decided to check them out. Was lookin for 2-3 lbs of shrimp..... And $50 bucks later ive got 3 bags of stuff. Im a sucker for a good seafood market. Folks n there seemed really nice..... Some young guys.

Huge froglegs for $5.99/lb frozen
Fresh shrimp appeared to be 10-12ct for $7
Some homeade sauces and rubs.
Good produce.
Frozen sausages, soups, gator patties, etc
Fresh snapper, catfish, ahi tuna

They had free jambalaya and were boilin peanuts today. Brewin sweet tea.

(its between Rocco's and Franks on Airline)

I will go back.

I've been wondering about that place since it changed owners. How is the produce there? Did they have smaller count shrimp?

I got some #2 crabs from there for the fourth. Good quality and full. I think they were $13/dozen. New owners are really nice.

They do have fresh salt water fish, but call ahead just to make sure they have exactly what you want. Have called and requested fish or the next day and they came through for me. Crabs were really good as was the gigantic boiled shrimp. Took a chance since I saved a few $$ over Tommy's and wasn't dissapointed. (Not downing Tommy's because I would recommend them as well)

The produce seemed fresh, but admittedly I have bought a whole lot. Also a large section of frozen fixin's.

Can't say either way on the turtle, could call and see what try can do.

Smoked fish dip i picked up was awesome. Wife says its a solid competitor to Calvins chick salad.

Different consistancy, but good stuff.

I know he owned it when it was called Moreno's, but I thought he sold it when he opened the Italian Bowl?

FWIW, they definitely have new owners...they took over in January. The place is completely different, soooo much better!
On the turtle meat question, they can order anything you need and have it the next day. I had them order frog legs for me and they were awesome. Real fresh.

PS, their crabs are incredible right now!!
