Yeah, I was there with 2 buds sitting in the middle Steeler fans getting chided and Saints never recovered from that beating; think it was the week before or after LSU-UF 3-58 debacle and worst 2 week stretch ever! Never happen again!

Now, setting aside the debacle of this January past, what are your worst memories of any LSU football game that you attended in person?

My Top 5:

I greatly enjoyed reading your list. It's so comforting to know there are others like me out there who take LSU losing as personally and psychotically as I do. You appear to be one of those people.

By far my worst experience at a LSU game personally attended would be:

1. Auburn 2002

Matt Mauck had gone down in the waning moments of a crushing victory in The Swamp. Mauck and LSU's misfortune gave way to the sudden rise of Marcus Randall (shudders) for the remainder of the season. After a solid 8 to 9 hour bus ride to Auburn, AL with the student government trip, we sat in the blustery rain as the lesser Tigers pummeled us 31-7...I have literally no single redeeming memory of this game. The AU fans were downright vicious after the game - I almost got into two separate fights just walking back to the bus. Then of course was the immediate and joyless 8-9 hour bus ride home. I swore I'd never return to AU, which leads me to...

2. Auburn 2010

I had broken myself of the 2002 debacle and was determined for redemption in 2010 against Cammy Cam Juice and the wretched AU fans. But, alas, it was not to be as the Tigers fell 24-17 in gutwrenching fashion.

3. Alabama 2009.

(it was a f*cking interception)

Yup. Happened literally right in front of us. I wanted this game so bad it hurt.

4. Tenn 2005

Epic and unbelievable second half collapse. Nuff said.

5. Alabama 2008

See no. 3.

It was 2008 (which was not a good season to begin with) and after telling a few of my buddies about the essence of what is an LSU football game, they decided to check it all out. It was a hot (i mean hot) day in October and we were playing Matt Stafford and the highly ranked Georgia Bulldogs a few weeks after getting waxed by the Florida Gators in the swamp.

My friends were extremely excited, after showing them victory hill, the band and pounding a couple of last minute cocktails we were running late. We were having to sprint up to the upper deck (we are poor college kids) just in time to see the first play of the game: a pick 6 from Jarrett Lee to a Bulldog LB. That interception set the tone for the afternoon and although my buddies and I had a great time, the game was hot, ugly and painful. I'm glad that LSU program is far from their 08-09 days.

Tulane 1982! The previous week we slaughtered Florida State to go to the Orange Bowl only to lose to the Greenie Weenies the next week.

Both Cap One Bowls: Penn State- Wet, cold and we played like crap.

Iowa: Saban was "not going to coach the Dolphins" and we lost on the last play.

LOL. I vividly remember watching that game in a Chicago bar called Gamekeepers. I believe that was the contest which gave rise to the "Mr. Fumbles" moniker for Randall. I can only imagine how miserable it was in person. My deepest sympathies.

In Orlando when Iowa completed a hail Mary right after J.M. Brought us back to what I thought was a sure victory. Very depressing leaving the stadium.
Second was Jamie Howard throwing 3 pick sixes in the 4th quarter at Auburn. I sooooo hate to lose to Auburn

I think it was 1990 or 91 when LSU played Florida State in TigerStadium. It started out bad when my cousin and I arrived to park on a South lot from the Stadium. It had rained and I had gotten my cousin's Mustang stuck in the mud. We went to the game anyway and got so excited watching the Tigers jump on Amp Lee and the Seminoles. I think the Tigers were up like 13-9 at halftime ? It rained during the 2nd half and the Tigers failed to win the game.

We left the stadium and with no cell phones, we called my uncle from John Parker building. By this time, we were soaked and I was dealing with the chills. Finally, my uncle found us walking down a street and boy was it so good to get home and into some dry clothes. My cousin and I finished the night watching a late night WAC game on the Duece.

The '79 Bama game was the worst one I ever sat through in the stadium. It rained the whole damn day and it was cold. To make matters worse this was before umbrellas were outlawed in TS which made seeing the game even harder from my low level seats in the North endzone and the rain from your neighbors umbrella poured on to you! Then the field was the worst mess I've seen, until the Capitol One bowl against Penn State in 2010....which is the 2nd worst game I ever sat through!

Absolutely the worst was in Tiger Stadium in 98 against Bama. We were about to break a 25 year plus record of losses to Alabama in Tiger Stadium. Late in the 4th quarter, we were up more than one touchdown and some idiot in front of me stood up and said "the curse we broken, we beat them". A minute and a half left, we had the ball, they got it back and scored. Tigers lost.

Watched that on television - it would make my list had I been there. Say what you want about Josh Booty - he did what no other QB had done since before Bert Jones - beat Bama in Tiger Stadium...(in what was almost certainly his best game for us).

Worst: Arkansas 2007...the horror

Kentucky 2007...after losing and getting taunted out of that stadium two of my friends got their arse kicked by old hill billies while I was keeping another friend from getting both of our asses kicked by about 10 rednecks. The drive back the next day sucked balls.

UGA 2005...I signed a lease on an apartment in Atlanta two days before that game. The day before I found out looters broke into my house in NO, looted it, took a shite, piss, and threw up on the floor. Matt Flynn's pick six was like the looter took a shite on my head. And I had to live in that town for 6 months following. UGA shite everywhere there. I would have moved back the Sunday after the game had I not signed the lease.

Florida 2008...we sat at the end of the "LSU" section which literally switched mid bleacher to the Florida student section. I was the last LSU fan sitting next to the student section. When the fans from both schools began yelling at each other I was dead in the middle. I made an agreement with the Fla dude next to me we'd be cool cause any argument could set off a brawl and we were 100% getting our asses kicked if that happened.

Other terrible experiences: Ole Miss 1997, 1999, Auburn 2002, Ole Miss 2002, Bamma 2002, Fla 2003, Auburn 2006, Fla 2006, UGA 2008, Bama 2008, Troy State 2008, Bama 2009...frick that town I'm done with it, Ole Miss 2009...broke up with my (now) wife I was so pissed after that game, Penn State 2010...the miserable rain.

Aside from 1.9.12 easily 2007 Arkansas.

There were a lot of great plays in that game for the Tigers to keep themselves alive. But that's all lost cause LSU went down that night. Just awful. Couldn't believe it.

1990 @Vanderbilt L-24-21 on a BS offensive pass interference call on Todd Kinchen's ~50 yard TD catch on the final play of the game.
