My God look at McCune's ERA....
Posted on 7/4/12 at 2:23 pm to thunderbird1100
To sum up for now...
Nobody is smashing the ball well, Rhymes still slumping and striking out a bunch, Jones still striking out a bunch...Katz really improved in not striking out as much...Powell and ESPECIALLY Yocum might be hard pressed for a spot on the team come Fall putting up these numbers.
Nola is dominating as is Rumbelow, Cotton and more surprisingly Berry and Trent. Good to see those 2 coming around. Cody Glenn has improved drastically from where he was last spring, better control. LaMarche is doing OKAY, as is Johnson. McCune and Reed have gotten touched up badly on more than 1 occasion.

a few things jump off the page to me...
- I'm hoping our hitters are tired from the season, because they are hitting very poor.
- Rumbelow was a summer league all star last season as well.
- McCune is way off the wagon right now. Could he honestly go from Friday night starter as a freshman to being cut?

Jared foster looks like he's hitting the ball better considering how low is avg. was on the other update

Can't believe the fall he's had since his freshman year.

T-Bird - where are you getting the stat lines from?

What the hell happened to yocum? I doubt he's around next year.
If Kevin berry could regain his form from 2 years ago and be a reliable 8th inning guy it would really help us replacing goody and either cotton or bonvaillan if one if them move to weekend rotation. Christian Trent and Aaron johnson would be nice surprises also. I think johnson is a lefty.

We dont need a hitting coach....we hit just good enough...PM

We don't need a hitting coach, we need HITTERS! Our hitters are the problem, not the coaching. We need to get better players. Simple as that.

FIFY... Mainieri said the hitting coach doesn't matter, guys can either hit or they can't. He should start recruiting the guys who can IMO

All the different summer league websites

y'all are so annoying. please go look at the conference wide stats before posting how bad our hitting sucks. it really gets old reading it. btw, hitting .300 in the cape is unbelievable. Katz was an all star last year hitting around .270. Rhymes is not "slumping" at .262
