Portugal? You mean Ronaldo?

Don't let anything fool you. That was his decision. His ego got in the way and he wanted to take the winning penalty.

Bento was too worried with other things, like the match away from the match (media work, crying, complaining, bitching, mostly crying).

His players didn't deserve this.

What did he do exactly that you saw? The feed I was watching kept skipping...missed two kicks altogether and the lead up to Bruno's miss.

So he didn't volunteer to take the kick?

He's the captain. Captains aren't told when they are taking a pen. Captains step up to the plate and lead by example.

Gerrard did in Istanbul, and Drogba did it in Munich.

That said, I agree with you. No excuse for not getting to shoot.

Yeah but they could afford it with strong choices (Mata-I know he ended up missing- and Lampard)

Gerrard didn't even have to take a PK. AC Milan missed their first 2 and Liverpool made their first 2 which meant that Gerrard at 5 would be taking a PK no matter what.

I still think the captain goes first.

That is exactly why. Ronaldo is a complete retard. The coach would never have allowed that if he weren't off for another job.

Also, Germany is going to lose to Italy now.

ETA: He has taken a lot of penalties, and his conversion rate is very, very good. Don't let his misses stick in your mind
