Heading to New York City with the wife in a few months. Does anyone have any suggestions to any must do restaurants both high end and lower end type places? TIA

46th street between 7th and 8th.
Place is called Patzeria and is right next to the Church of Scientology.
Get a slice of the grandma's pizza.
It is the best pizza I have ever had.

You're probably going to want to give an area you will be in because there are a shitload of good restaurants there

New York City...high end
Probably the best meal I've ever had was at Le Bernardin, Eric Ripert's restaurant near Time Square. Bring money.

For some the best pizza in the city, check out Lombardi's.

Awesomely cool place. Some the best/unique drinks in the city. Good luck getting it, but it's worth it if you do.

There's about 13,000 restaurants or something in NYC huh? Tough to give suggestions with no info as to area or type of cuisine, so I'll just recommend the last place I went when I was up there earlier this month.

too many to list. when wife and I went we went to:
Carmines- awesome italian food
Lombardis- original pizzeria, damn good
Johns on Bleeker- another pizza joint, just as good as Lombardis
Donut Plant- yes i know i havent had a donut in 10 years but we saw this place on the food network and we went during the day and its like crack. i had a hard on the whole time.
Bobby Flays Mesa Grill- great place for a nice dinner, get a bottle of wine and a good steak and Flay might even be there like he was when we were there.
Burger Joint- always voted one of the best burgers in the city

I ate the best hamburger ever. Don't remember the name of the restaurant but it wasn't Shake Shack. My favorite food, by far, was the NY dogs sold on the streets.

I ate at Daniel and Le Bernadin. Daniel was outstanding, fun, etc. we loved it! The food made us giddy it was so good. The fish is fantastic at Le Bernadin, but much more stuffy and quiet. Do some research on Le Bernadin and see if it for you. It was a great experience, but I preferred Daniel.

Really enjoyed Lure restaurant. It was hidden below the Guchi building with no sign. Wouldnt find it if you weren't looking for it.

Haven't been to Le Bernadin, but Daniel the one time I had the privilege to go was fantastic.
