My thoughts exactly.

Pimanyoli's is my go-to rib joint but they've overcooked them the last couple times I've been there.

A couple of weeks ago, just finding BBQ in Baton Rouge was a challenge.

I went to Couyon's on Burbank/Gardere last night for the first time in a long time. The pulled pork and beans were really good, much better than what I got at Whole Foods a couple weeks ago. I'll be back.

If you are willing to take a small road trip up 61. Roadside BBQ around Jackson, LA has some of the best BBQ I have had in Louisiana. The Roland Platter, was so full of all their meats, that I was scaring down BBQ for days. Highly Recommended

Bushwood makes a great BBQ sandwich, and their beans kick arse as well.

Go to TJ ribs.
Never dissapointed me.

Plus there is this black dude that cooks on the side of the road in nrth br where you turn to go to baker on plank road I think.
Legit, and cheap.

if your ever in Coushatta try Gracen's BBQ. its the best bbq in this state hands down. I refuse to pay for bbq from any place in this state except Gracens. the building is at least 50yrs old and so is the brick pit built into the side of it. You know your bbq is good when you stop taking turkey and ham orders in september for thanksgiving!

The best pulled pork I've had within 2 hours of BR.
Ribs are average+.
