The more I think about it, I think the best case scenario for the team is if Harrison Barnes falls to us at 10. He's ultra skilled, ultra polished, and a world class athlete. (6'8, 38" vertical).

If we set him up on wing and high post with AD on the low post, we'll have one of the longest and most athletic frontcourts in the league. And I think having someone with AD's motor would do wonders for Barnes.

AD could go for having someone with polish on the front side.
I like our scoring options with Gordon and Barnes.

Doesn't translate to the court. Certainly not a world class athlete.

it translated to the court in HS and in flashes in college. I think he was playing too much in his head last season.

Not very likely at all. Toronto would love Barnes to fall even more than you. If he falls I can't imagine him slipping past 8.

There is no shot of Barnes falling, at all.

His workouts were off the charts.

I think there's a chance he goes before MKG.

Rumor was the Cavs were thinking about taking him at 4. 0% chance this guy falls to us unless we trade up.

Pretty much my sentiment. I'd like him over Rivers, but I don't see him falling to us.

This is why I love the combine. Gets GM's fired every year.

This.

I hear Cleveland wants him bad.

Even if they didn't take him, Golden State and Toronto both want a 3 badly, provided neither can trade for Iggy or Gay.

If he's still on the board at 7 or 8 and one of those teams hasn't gotten a 3, he's gone.

Like the fact that he couldn't throw the ball in the ocean. Guy is an extremely hard worker, and that seems to be why he's going so early. He will work to get better.

But Harrison Barnes, for all his faults, tested out amazing athletically and already has a very good jumper.

I'm not saying I would pick one over the other, but I can see why Barnes would go first.

I agree. I think his ceiling is more limited than people think. But he's very good at what he does well- defense, rebounding, and scoring in transition. All those things translate well to the NBA too.

Barnes is a shooter, not a scorer, a shooter. And he didn't even shoot that well in college despite having the best passing PG in the country.

I really think MKG falls or at least he should. The NBA just doesn't value defensive wings. Iggy is probably the best defensive wing in the league, he's not making max money and is considered overpaid. The rest of the draft would have to be pretty weak for him to go #2.

That's this draft though, who's upside can you say is higher? Robinson maybe, Drummond as well but he's a huge risk. I could see Robinson going 2nd over MKG, but after that taking anyone over him would be a mistake IMO.
