So you're saying there is a definition which defines what a brook is? Kind of like a retard, I.Q. under 40. What kind of thread is this?

A thread to discuss what the hell a brook is. I've never seen one.

I know what a brook is, but can someone explain why it won't quit that damn bubbling noise?

C'mon, that's self explanatory. It's one of those wolves that lives in the sea.

That looks like what I would call a stream. I think brooks are supposed to babble and I don't think that thing is babbling.

Roommate and I had a discussion about this yesterday and came to the conclusion that it is a wolf that lives on or near the sea. Wikipedia says it is a colloquial name for the Atlantic catfish, but I don't buy that.

BTW, 'Stoney' was a popular name for rodeo riders back in the day.

You were expecting a stream sounding like a drunk Hillbilly?

Have you ever read anything except the sports page?

That picture looked like a "stony" brook. The water falls make it a "babbling" brook.

It's a look, a state of confusion and disbelief, also known as 'brook trout look'.

JJ had it on Jan. 9th.

actually, it is an old nor'easterner fable about the boy who cried wolf.
"SEE, Wolf,
See, Wolf,"
and the kid gets eaten by the wolf.
but the town of brookstone (beer guy keith) gets drunk and calls the local team the seawolves.

i think i got this from wikepedia?
