I haven't done much research this week... Realistically... how good are they? And if they are pretty good, how did they end up a #4 seed in a regional?

Hard to tell really. They've won 50 games but against an absolutely atrocious schedule. However, they did beat some decent teams last weekend.

Compare them to someone in the SEC.

Have the best record of any team left in the tournament. Are near the top of the NCAA in home runs.

They play in the America East Conference and the best non conference team they played in the regular season was East Carolina.

I'd say Kentucky and Florida are good comparisons, obviously a bit less proven because they haven't played anyone outside of last weekend.

I would call them the baseball version of VCU a couple of years ago in March Madness. Have some solid players but I dont think enough overall talent and depth to get past LSU. Their Ace threw 215+ pitches in 2 starts in 4 days. His arm might fall off this weekend

If they are in the same league as Kentucky/Florida.. they pretty good. Man, I hope Maineri has them jacked up. Maybe bring Skip in for a motivational talk. :)

Very, very solid line up, last weekend in 5 games they put up 50 runs. They have an OF who was just drafted in the 1st round. They lack the pitching depth though their ace is pretty strong, held Miami to 2 runs. He threw 200something pitches last weekend so I'd be shocked if he pitches earlier than Saturday. Not a pushover by any stretch but top to bottom LSU has the more talented roster.

The Gausman vs. Stony Brook matchup tomorrow should be interesting, if we win that one then I think we win the series, I'd be afraid of Eades pitching against them because batters put the ball into play on him, and the Seawolves can swing it.

They are a 4 seed because their SOS is real bad, America East is a weak conference.
