So I don't want to resurrect a thread that has died a slow and painful death, but I will anyway.
IF we win tomorrow (regardless of pitcher), I don't think it's a bad idea to throw Eades on Saturday - for a different reason though. The second half of the season has been a little bit of a struggle for Eades compared to the first half, and I think getting him some work would be good for him going into the tourney (because we WILL need him if we're going to go deep).
If you throw Eades on Saturday you either get the win against their ace, which would be a nice confidence boost for him, or you lose and still have Gausman available to throw on Sunday against their #3, which should result in a W.
In a perfect world, I agree you throw your best guys in order and pick up the wins. In this situation, though, I'd much rather see Eades get some work in than Gausman, who we know will be solid throughout the rest of the season.
