Why would ESPN do this?
Doesn't the NCAA get the money from attendance? Or at least a cut? Why wouldn't they suggest LSU get a later game?
11am game will hurt attendance on Friday! FACT!
Probably 7,500 actual and that's low for postseason for us

Lsu will still sell 11k tickets, so nobody cares how many actually show up.

From a business standpoint, it really makes little sense. It's just another example of people negotiating contracts and not being able to take into account a thorough analysis of all the possible contingencies, and then sticking with the formal rules, because it's too much trouble to go back and make them more flexible.
One thing should be absolutely crystal clear: having LSU play at 11am is not a revenue maximizing scenario for the composite total of all 8 super regionals. If somebody really wanted to work around this, it could certainly be done.
But stupid people are going to be stupid and tell everyone how much more "rational" they are than Rantards, so I guess this is all just useless.
For the record, though, you people are fricking morons for thinking this is a reasonable arrangement.
