Plumb-bobbers!!
Then they hit the putt and you realize they are horrible.
If you do not read the putt from both sides of the hole DO NOT plumb-bob!
Nothing like watching a group ahead of you do this while you are standing in the fairway, and the plumb-bob guy 4-putts.

I don't mind letting groups play through because I don't like to play with a group on our arse for 18 holes. But, for god's sakes, please don't take your sweet-arse time while we are waiting for you to play through. Don't plumb-bob on the green when you are putting for a snowman. Don't look in the woods for lost balls. Play through quickly and then GTFO.
Another pet peeve (that I have only encountered a couple of times but is annoying as hell) is some dipshit spitting sunflower seeds on the greens. That should be a breach of etiquette punishable by the most painful death imaginable.

This is why when I am playing through I pretty much take a 2 putt on the green and GTFO, I usually won't score anything higher than a bogey (unless I shank something OB) and I just go as fast as possible to get out of their way

I played with a group for a number of years. There was this one guy who had been in the group long before me. He stiffed me at the end of a round for $20. He did it again, a few weeks later for $10, conveniently forgeting he still owed me for the previous week. I was already PO'd about the first time. The second time he did it I got up to go the bathroom, walked out to his bag and snagged his 60 degree Cleveland wedge, walked out to the 1st tee pond and threw it in as far as I could. Walked back in, sat down, never said another word about it.

I can't stand when a group of four are all in the woods looking for one guy's ball with the other three balls all of their balls on the other side of the fairway. of course none of them worry about hitting their balls until 5 minutes later they decide the lost ball can't be found.

See this stuff bothers me if the course is open, but if it's crowded and everyone is waiting 5 minutes to hit a shot anyway, I say take your time. If it slows me down for one shot it doesn't matter because they will catch up with the group ahead soon enough. It's the same reason walkers on busy days don't bother me, you gotta wait anyway

I'll catch you with the swing review after my round today...I'm already in the car on the way to the course

My biggest pet peeve are people who think they 'own' a course. At copper mill there are 3-4 groups who think that when they get on the course, its theirs. If they shank their prov1 OB, they will spend 20 minutes looking for it and you will just have to deal with it. They ain't letting you play through either.

Walkers are faster than 2 guys in one cart fwiw.

Ya'll seriously need to get off your high horses, give a guy who's trying to improve his game a minute or two to look for a ball that went in the woods. Not everyone is arrow straight down the middle or 100% consistent.
Golf's not a good ole boy's club of scratch players.
That being said, it burns my arse when someone sends it into someones front/back yard and takes much longer than reasonable trying to find it. I'll hit into people that do that, DGAF.

Playing with, or behind some cock sucker who walks over to his ball, without a club/clubs, to check yardage, then goes back to cart to get the club/clubs needed. For fricks sake, if you can't tell within 2 clubs how far you are, frickING QUIT!
I do this. But the cart is only 3 steps away from the ball. Can't take me more than 5 seconds max.

Seriously. If I gave up on finding every ball I didn't find at 1st glance I could keep every ball company in business for another decade.
Don't go play at LSU or City Park and be enraged when you run across shitty players. That is one of my pet peeves.

With the gambler, the last time we played for money, he called out something like $5 bucks a hole, at which I responded why not make it $1,000,000 because you aren't going to pay it anyways. He acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. The guy that claims to be pro has refused to play anyone in the group since returning all while claiming to be mid 60's.......funny thing is I have a friend that is on the PGA tour and he doesn't shoot mid 60's consistently. NO ONE DOES!!!!! well, except this guy.

People who have a complicated pre shot routine for putts, and go through that routine on an 8 inch putt.
ETA: This only applies for me when I am in the fairway and pre shot routine guy is on the green. Slow players don't really bother me that much if they are in my group.
