I'm pretty sure we get spearmint snowcones down in Angelina County

I kid you not the lady at my boy's T-ball practice asked "Spear-a-what?, I never heard of that flavor?"

I give her 20 dollars a week so all the boys get snow cones after games and she agreed to order spearmint but says "I can't find that flavor anywhere! It must be really special"

I have eaten at Plum Street more than any other stand, I love them. The quality of the ice at Hansen's is just so much better.

Question for you snoball stand gurus:

For the stands that are actually trailers with a window parked in a lot somewhere, are you supposed to walk up or drive up to them?

I walked up to one with my kids plus friends because there was somebody already standing there + I knew it would take a while for the guy to fix everyone's cups, but one of the kids asked why we didn't drive up like her mom always does.

I felt like I had violated snoball stand protocol.

Fat Boyz in Walker. Made it from there to Prairieville and still had juice and ice just like it started out. They do it right.

Agreed but Plum Street's flavors are better. Plus it's nostalgic for me. My grandparents live right down the street.

Plum Street isn't that great IMO. They just use the same commercial shaved ice machine every other slapdick snowball establishment uses.

I like Casey's Snowballs in Metry but the high school girls working can be rude at times.

For a different kind of snoball, you should try the natural fruit snoballs at Beaucoup Juice on Freret St.

Not nearly as sweet as traditional snoballs, but good nonetheless. My favorite there is the pineapple mint.

The difference is really in the ice itself.

I know the people that own Fat Boyz. He cooks his syrup and does'nt skimp on it. I was hanging out up there the other day and someone requested a pickle juice snoball, I thought it odd to say the least.
