Regardless of L/R matchups, I think we can all agree on one thing...

Yeah Dozar can be our first PH off the bench (vs. a Righty)
Although Slaid was money recently...

Word. When you got a 1st round pick in the 6 hole. JHC.
Then a future 1st rounder batting down in the line-up as well.
Just not even fair.
8 guys batting over .300
and we had Landry on the bench too who wasn't bad. Had 12 bombs that year.

I've always said since that year, the 2009 ball club was our most TALENTED I think we've ever had (and that includes some of the late 80s and late 90s clubs).

I think Hanover is the likely candidate to be moved to the 2 hole. Although I really like him at the bottom of the order to have someone on base when the lineup flips over for Nola to drive someone in.

it's strange how most of us seem to be in agreement of having Nola at leadoff - considering he batted in the 5 hole almost the whole season.

I don't find it strange. He has been MONEY leading off. He is seeing the ball better than anyone in our lineup IMO

i agree. I think our 2009 team was our best overall.
Considering there's more parity in College baseball now.

I'm on board with Nola being leadoff. He's 3rd in terms of hits on the team - and he has the most Walks. He's good for a clutch hit every now and then and he's got a little speed on the base paths. Makes the most sense.
His OBP is .426 (compared to Katz's at .427)

Rhymes obviously has the best OBP - at .519

then Katz at .427
then Nola at .426
Snickeris .383 (in limited AB's)
Hanover .382
Ross .364
Moore .331
Jones .305
Fields .294

that's why Jones and Fields should be towards the bottom of the lineup

I believe Hanover was the leadoff batter 4 out of the 5 times he came up to bat today and got a hit everytime. I say we give him a shot at leadoff and move Nola to the 2 slot and see if his production continues.
